Dabe was a fun watch on Friday afternoon. A 2022 Junior Future Games alum, Dabe showed vast improvement from the JFG’s not even a full year removed. From the right side of the bump, Dabe uses a high leg lift before getting into a drop and drive delivery. Arm works quick and clean out of a high ¾ slot. Fastball got up to 81 mph which would be a seven mph velocity jump from when we saw him at LakePoint last summer. Also flashed a short slider that worked in the 65-67 mph range. Final line: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 K.
Junior Futures Games: MIF Sean Dabe also had an outstanding day at the plate going 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Players Elijah Lewis, Myles Broome, Cole Ruggeri, and Sean Dabe all came up big with hits throughout the road to a 13-1 victory for Team Illinois.
Into extras, up one run with bases loaded, Sean Dabe wedged Team Illinois out of a jam by diving for a line-out and doubling off the runner at second, neutralizing a threat from Tennessee that seemed certain to earn them the dramatic walk-off win.

INF/RHP Sean Dabe (Huntley) delivered a strong all-around showing over the weekend. At the plate, the right-handed hitter uses a compact/quick swing that remains level through contact with present bat-speed, producing line-drives on the barrel throughout his round of BP. He also showcased a strong arm throughout the day, registering a max infield velocity of 74 mph with a loose/quick arm action while using fluid footwork around the ball, also possessing athletic actions. Dabe’s arm easily translated to the mound as well, reaching up to 72 mph during his ‘pen with an athletic delivery downhill.
