Wilson did not disappoint as he seemed to only improve in the time since. At the 13U PBR at The Rock Summer Championships we got to see Wilson’s talent transfer to actual gameplay as he crushed two hard-hit balls to the opposite field for extra bases. While in the left-handed batters box Wilson’s middle-of-the-order type bat worked with controlled aggression as he did not try to do too much. It was a impressive showing for this young prospect and he will be a name to keep an eye on as he starts his high school career.

One of the day’s most impressive BP rounds came from left-handed hitting OF/RHP Sebastian Wilson (2027). A physically matured 5-foot-11, 160-pound athlete, Wilson showed flashes of a potential middle-of-the-order type bat, working with fluid rhythm, controlled aggression on a short, uphill plane and repeatedly making gap-to-gap contact. It was an advanced showing at the plate for someone his age, hitting his hardest ball at 88.6 mph and his furthest traveled 316 feet, per TrackMan. Wilson’s physicality transferred to other aspects of his working, as he topped at 80 mph to home from the outfield and bumped his fastball up to 78.7 mph on the mound later on in the event. He’s a name we’re eager to see as his high school career rolls on, starting at The Rock Sports Complex this summer.
