RHP Toby Schriefer (Bradley Bourbonnais, 2024) is an uncommitted senior that carries a high ceiling on the mound. Schriefer stands at an athletically built 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame with strength throughout. He worked down the mound in a drop and drive pattern with an over the top arm action to boot. Schriefer had one of the better fastballs at the event, sitting 84-86, and topping out at 87.6 mph with big carry (T22.2” IVB) at times. Though still developing complete feel for a mid-70s slider, Schriefer’s primary secondary pitch flashed out-pitch potential with tight, late break. He also mixed in a fading changeup in the upper-70s that was primarily thrown to left-handed hitters.
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Athletic build with well-proportioned strength.
Delivery: Drop/drive delivery, short leg lift, works on-line to the plate. Threw two innings with four strikeouts and one walk.
Arm Action: RH. Compact motion, medium arm loop, over the top slot.
FB: T88, 85-86 mph. Plays with finish up in the zone, occasional arm-side run. T2374, 2162 average rpm.
SL: 75-76 mph. Downer action with tight, 10/4 shape. T2219, 2064 average rpm.
CH: 78-80 mph. Played with depth and occasional late fade. T1747, 1643 average rpm.
6-foot-3, 190-pound frame. Athletic build with room to grow. Currently ranked No. 167 in Illinois’ 2024 class. Schriefer impressed Saturday afternoon pitching for 2.2 innings. Schriefer operates through a high ¾ slot with short, wiry arm action with effort. Schriefer utilizes a side-step windup that includes medium leg lift and a drop/drive approach. Schreifer’s fastball sat mid 80s while topping out at 88 mph with ASR. Mixed in a mid 70s breaking ball that had sharp actions. Schriefer is a name to keep an eye on in the Spring season.

Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Athletic build with present strength.
Delivery: Upright throughout, tall and fall delivery, lands square with balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 85-87 mph. Standard action, plays to arm side. T2312, 2242 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. 10/4 shape. T2190, 2104 average rpm.
CH: 77-82 mph. Firm wristed, down, below the zone. T2165, 1748 average rpm.
