Cole, a two-way prospect, had an impressive performance on both sides of the baseball Friday night. An athletic 6-foot-1, 150-pound base stealer batted second in the order and got the start on the mound. From the mound, Cole tossed a complete game shutout with 13 strikeouts and gave up just three hits and two walks. Using a healthy fastball, slider mix on the opposing batter. Cole’s fastball was 80-82 mph early before dropping to the upper 70s. The slider sat in the mid 60s and was thrown with confidence. At the plate, Cole picked up two hits including a double to right center and stole third base.
