At the plate, thin and balanced set up, no wasted movement, quiet hands, level path through contact, feel for the barrel, loose hands, consistent middle of the field contact.  Behind the the plate,  2.09 to 2.30-second pop times, 70 mph positional velocity, staggered set up in base, high three quarters release, fluid actions with fluid footwork, accurate throws with occasional carry. On the infield, 75 mph positional velo, athletic and smooth actions, quick catch and throw, short over the top arm slot, quick to the ball, clean exchanges, accurate throws.

7/5/17 - Nickluas is a 5-foot-7 140-pound left-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class.  He ran a 7.72 60 and has a 67 mph exit velocity. At the plate, smooth rhythm, accelerated and loose hands, balanced set up, controlled in line stride, swing produced hard consistent contact to middle and pull side, level path through the zone, stayed on ball after contact.  Behind the plate, over the top release, thin set up to receive, slight staggered, quick actions in transfer and feet, 2.18 to 2.40-second pop times, 67 mph positional velo, momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, quick over the top arm action, short release, plays through the ball with athletic footwork, quick transfer, soft hands, athletic actions, 73 mph positional velo.
