During batting practice, Darrenkamp starts with an open stance, quiet load, rhythm with hands, in line stride, level bat path, showed hard contact to left field. Defensively, he showed good actions in the outfield, clean arm action, momentum towards the target, positional velocity of 69 mph, fairly accurate throws. On the mound, Darrenkamp shows an athletic, smooth, controlled and repeatable delivery, easy arm action from a three-quarter release. During hitting evaluations, Darrenkamp starts in an open stance, toe tap load, loose hands, showed contact to the middle and pull side of the field. Defensively, has a ¾ arm slot, clean transfers, positional velo of 68 mph, fairly accurate throws. On the mound, Darrenkamp repeats his delivery, good direction, body control, bigger leg kick, ¾ slot, fastball was thrown for a high percentage of strikes at 66-70 mph, curveball has 2-to-8 shape with gradual bite, 54-61 mph, changeup is 59-61 mph.
