Defense: IF. Feet work well through the ball. Confident actions. Presents glove well. Some range to both sides. Solid 3B with the ability to hold down 2B as well. Has the arm and footwork to play both. 
Arm: RH. 85 mph. Short, quick arm. Over-the-top arm slot. Accurate with carry on his throws.
Hit: RHH. Athletic, squared set up. Medium leg kick that gets down on time. Efficient hand path to the ball with slight lift through extension. High 2 handed finished. Present power to the pull side. Has the ability ot drive the ball to both gaps.

Delivery:  Athletic set up. Far left side of the rubber. Quick, efficient delivery. Drop and drive type. Lands on line to home with slight finish towards 1B line. Uses legs well to get down the mound. 
Arm Action: Loose, quick arm action. High ¾ to over-the-top arm slot. Repeats well.

FB: Max 87 mph. Sat 85-87 mph. Avg. Spin Rate - 1894 RPM. Some late life with heaviness to the arm side. 

CB: 72-74 mph. Avg. Spin Rate - 1766 RPM. 11/5 action. Works well off his FB. 

5-foot-10, 175-pound frame, athletic, developed build, proportionate strength. Defensively, he steps into his set up, quick first step, active feet, ability to range to the forehand and backhand side, low, clean transfer. ¾ arm slot with carry, accuracy; 81 mph IF velo. At the plate, cool confidence, starting in an athletic, open stance, slow hand rhythm. Compact load, strides into the plate. Above average bat speed, excellent barrel awareness, level swing plane, natural lift, two-handed extension, high finish. Gap to gap approach, drives with authority; 95 mph exit velo. This is an under the radar prospect that will be one to keep an eye on with a talent rich Gorman squad.

Strong, 5-foot-10 170, Molto-Herrera demonstrates solid infield actions and footwork providing him the opportunity to play all three infield spots. His arm strength easily plays on the left side of the diamond and he has a feel for multiple angle throws and feeds. Growth and development make a future move to second or third base imminent. As a hitter, he has a nice combination of strength and bat speed with consistent quality contact. He maintains a slight uphill plane to his swing that may realize power down the line.

Molto-Herrera is a pitchability righty throwing from a high ¾ slot with solid zone feel. He throws with some effort to his delivery and will occasionally spin off his front side, but it doesn’t jeopardize strikes. His fastball sat comfortably 81-83 with consistent arm side life. The breaking ball displayed tight spin with depth and some bite. The changeup was 74-75 with consistent arm speed. Molto-Herrera is a 3-pitch guy with enough ceiling to see as a future rotation starter at the next level.

11/18 - Molto-Herrera has a sturdy and durable body with present strength.  He showed plenty of arm for the position, making plays to his right and left.  Molto-Herrera struck the ball with authority at the plate and it is easy to see potential power down the line.
