Aidan Weir: C/2B, (2023) Hilliard Davidson, OH. 5-foot-10, 145-pound athletic frame. Athletic in the box, Weir's best exit velocity was 77 mph. Starts in an open stance with a smooth load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is average, has a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. In the round he found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Up the middle approach. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 67 mph; shows soft sure hands, a quick exchange, and smooth feet. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 62 mph during throw downs; had athletic footwork, sure hands, and a clean exchange. consistently had pop times of 2.25-2.42. Athletic setup with a lot of flexibility. Had consistent accuracy to the bag and a quick arm action. 


Hit: Smooth, easy load from the right side. Movement patterns come together well, creating both energy and balance. Worked the middle of the field in BP, showing feel for the barrel.
Power: Flashed gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:  Multiple roles.
Max BP Exit: 75mph.
Max BP Distance: 242ft.
Field: Continues to grow as a defender. Good athlete with feel for the catcher position. Receiving has improved and has a willingness to block.
Throw: Expect pop times to continue to improve as arm does.
Defensive Projection: C.


Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Smooth mover with feel for his pre-launch sequence. Continues to get better each time we see him. Natural tools are starting to come out. Impressive round for the young bat out of Hilliard Davidson. One to follow as he continues to fill out/add strength.
Power:Gap pop.
Offensive Projection:Run producer ceiling.
Max BP Exit Velocity:82 mph
Max BP Distance: 274 ft
Field: 2023 backstop. Solid skill set back there with feel for the spot. Actions are fluid. Pop times will continue to improve with physical maturation.
Throw: Clean arm with more strength on the way.
Defensive Projection: C.


2/23/20 Position Player
Hit: Right handed hitter. Starts with an upright, open stance. Simple, fluid load with a slight leg lift for timing. Possesses athletic actions with a level bat path through the zone, which produced several line drives during his round of BP. 
Power: 78 mph tee ev. Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Table setter.
Field: Worked out as a C. Recorded a 2.22-2.35 pop time with sufficient footwork and transfer. Times will continue to improve as he
physically develops.
Throw: 64 mph arm from C to 2B. Developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: OF/C


Body Type: 5-foot-8, 125-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics:  Open stance with a simple load that has minimal movement while keeping his hands loaded.
Hit:  Level bat path that plays to all fields with natural ball flight to the middle part of the field. Athletic actions in the box. Young, talented bat to follow.
Power:  Line drive guy right now with more to come. 74 mph off the bat in BP.
Offensive Projection:  TBD.
Field:  At the catcher position, he has an open stance with efficient feet, and a quick transfer.  Receives the baseball well, and has good feel for blocking, as well.
Throw:  Has developing arm strength with short arm action.
Defensive Projection:  C/OF.

Two-way prospect. On the mound the righty has a fluid, efficient delivery that requires little effort. Lands slightly closed at foot strike, giving him a cross fire look to righties. Arm works through a ¾ slot giving natural run to his 55-59 mph fastball. Much more velocity in the tank with maturity. Also spins an a big breaking curveball with a slurvish look to it at 42-47 mph. Also mixes in a changeup at 38-41 mph. A righty swinger with a fluid stroke. Launches from a balanced position with a level path to contact. Barrel gets a running start into contact with authority through. An all fields hitter that can spray it to either side of the field. Behind the dish he has smooth actions with good direction during transfer. Should see easy improvements in pop times as arm strengthens with maturity. Through with accuracy to second base.

A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Loading sequence is fluid, incorporating athletic movements. Path is level and he finds plane well. Displayed both strength and speed to hands. A line drive type that worked through a middle/away approach. Behind the dish he looks comfortable and fluid. Does a nice job of gaining ground and creating direction during his transfer. Pop times will lower as arm matures and actions speed up. Showed an above average skill set with blocking/receiving in bullpens.

5-foot-4, 103 pound right handed hitting prospect starts from an open stance and produces a level bat path through the zone. Hands are developing in fluidness to allow more whip of the barrel prior to contact. Lower half worked well. Made average contact during his round. Recorded an exit velocity 65 mph. Behind the dish he gets out of his low crouch well, showing some burst and flexibility to hips. Lower half creates some direction but could be finer. Should see improvements in pop times as exchange skills and arm strength improve with maturity.
