2/9/20 Position Player Hit: Very physically present in the box. The 6-foot-4 righty starts out in a tall setup. Loading sequence is fluid and on time. Level through the zone back spinning balls. Power: Explosive hacks in the box. Solid mix of strength and speed. Very evident pull side power. Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup. Top Rapsodo BP Exit Velocity: 100 mph. Top Rapsodo BP Distance: 362 ft. Field: Big target behind the dish. Flexibility could be a concern at the next level behind the plate. Plays with confidence at third base. Shows the ability to read the ball very well. Footwork is clean generating positive momentum. Throw: Can throw it from multiple arm angles. Most naturally comes out of a ¾ arm slot. Held some back at third but catcher velocity suggests the arm is there if needed. Defensive Projection: 3B.
6/03/19
One of the most physical players in attendance, standing 6-foot-4, 205-pounds. Uses an upright stance prior to flowing into a smooth stride while barrel travels to a vertical launch. Intent driven swing with a path that will lift the ball naturally. Landed on balls in BP and was up to 96 mph off the tee. To go along with what he does at the plate he also ran a very respectable time, flashed the leather at third base and popped below 2.0 behind the dish.
7/24/18
A right-handed bat that starts in a balanced stane. Easy leg lift for timing during back load with hands. Obvious upside and physicality at the plate. Level path with a knack for squaring up the baseball. Offers a bit more strength than speed through the zone presently. Ball comes off well, showing present gap pop with some loft power to pull. Also had a solid showing behind the dish and at first base. A good athlete in general with defensive versatility. With frame and skill set he should garner D1 attention.

Morgan is an upside prospect that will get D1 looks over the next year or so. Has very good size with above average athleticism for frame. A corner prospect defensively that would be a solid defender at third with advanced abilities at first base. Bat has big upside. A long lever type that has a chance to be a beast physically if he adds strength. Already offers present gap abilities ot both sides of the field with power potential in there. Very interesting prospect.
Morgan stood out amongst a group of talented bats during batting practice. Already possesses well above average pop for his class, with much more to come as he has a ton of room to add strength to his frame. The righty swinger has a fluid loading sequence, putting himself in a strong position at swing decision. Does a nice job of creating early barrel acceleration and takes a slightly uphill path to the baseball. Drove the ball well to both sides of the field, producing regular backspin and true ball flight. Put his natural tools on display by registering an exit velocity of 88 mph. Also showed his versatility defensively with the ability to play a multiple of spots around the diamond. On the mound, the 2020 prospect offers a projectable pitchers frame standing 6-foot-3. Throws through a 3/4 arm slot. Fastball displays natural arm-side movement while sitting between 79-81 mph. Curveball sits 69-72 mph with 11/5 movement; has potential to be an effective pitch. Uses near fastball arm speed with his 71-73 mph changeup.
1/22/17
Big, physical prospect for his age with a 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame. Attempted to hit from both side of the plate, but he is more natural from the right side at this stage. Starts from a wide stance with a bit of a crouch. Takes uphill path to the ball from shoulder load. Displayed pull power in his swing. Interesting follow as he grows more comfortable with his body. Top exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.34 60. This physical prospect consistently had good jumps off the bat and attacked the baseball. Showed a clean transfer. From a low-¾ slot his throws were accurate with visible carry. Topping at 77 mph he has exceptional arm strength for his age. On the mound, Use of a short arm action with some quickness through a low ¾ slot. Delivery is compact and has rhythm. There is some counter rotation through his lift. Needs to engage his lower half more during the stride. Lands closed and throws across his body. Delivery requires some effort. Fastball had cutting action sitting 70-75 mph. Complimented his fastball with a 59-64 mph slider on a 10/4 plane. Also showed sinking changeup which sat 60-64 mph.
