8/19/16 Two-way prospect continues his upward progression as a prospect turning in a 6.96 60-yard dash during showcase activities preceding the tournament. The 6-foot, 165-pound primary outfielder mixed an 80 mph fastball with sink and a 72 mph slider/cutter during an effective inning on the mound during tournament action. The right-handed hitter made things happen offensively going 1-for-5 with three walks, three stolen bases and scored four runs.

2/14/16 6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a leg lift stride to initiate his swing. Hands work well through contact and junior shows gap-power potential with a bat exit velocity of 86 mph. Art moves well in the outfield (7.07 60-yard dash) and showed solid straight-line carry on throws of 81 mph.

Pitched out of a high-three quarter slot from a stop-and-start delivery with a soft stab out of the glove into an otherwise clean arm action. Both 4-sean and 2-seam FB sat 78-79, with the latter exhibiting solid armside run. Secondary stuff included two breaking balls with short break -- a CB at 70-71 and a SL at 72-73 -- along with a fading low-70s CH.

7/22/15 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitter. Started from a wide open stance, taking a knee-to-knee stride to slightly open. Stayed inside the ball with a short path in BP. Ran a 7.36 60-yard-dash and in-game home-to-1B times of 4.60-4.65. Showcased 85-mph exit velocity and 78-mph arm strength during workout. Carry on throws would likely improve if he got his front foot around toward his target instead of landing open.

Pitched out of a three-quarter slot, worked fast, threw strikes. Primarily featured his fastball, which sat 74-75 (down from the 75-77 he featured earlier in the summer). Slider velocity was also down (70-72 from 72-73) and didn’t have quite the same late darting action as last month, when it was a pitch that consistently stayed off the barrel. Also mixed in a change-up at 68-70.

6/24/15 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitter. Started from an open stance and employed a knee-to-knee stride to slightly open. Armbar creates some length, while approach is simple with limited head movement. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash and 4.69 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 80-mph exit velocity and 76-mph arm strength during workout. Moved well in the outfield and made throws on a low trajectory.

6/24/15 6-foot, 160-pound frame. Pitched out of a high three-quarter slot with chest high leg lift. Fastball sat 75-77 with occasional late armside run, while he also dropped down sidearm at 74. Solid slider at 72-73 had short, late darting action, while he tended to slow his body to throw his change-up at 68-69.

2/14/15 Art ran a solid 7.18 60-yard dash and showed athleticism defensively with a 74 mph arm from the outfield. The 6-foot, 160-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a toe tap stride to initiate his swing. Art has a quiet lower half and his hands work well to and through the baseball with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. The sophomore continues to make strides physically and could develop some gap power as he body continues to mature. 

9/28/14 Art went 1-for-3 in game action while barreling the baseball in two of his three at bats. The 5-foot-11, 145-pound sophomore has shown the ability to play multiple defensive positions and is making rapid strides on the mound. Art worked three innings allowing one run on three hits. He sat 73-74 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Art's 69 mph slider was very sharp on this day leading to a number of swing throughs and soft ground balls.

9/7/14 Art displayed developing arm strength and a quick release from both middle infield positions. The 5-foot-11, 145-pound sophomore began game action by lacing a double over the center fielder's head. Art continues to show looseness in his swing and a direct path to the baseball that allows him to create solid barrel whip.

7/20/14 Art is a 5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitter that showcased loose hands and the ability to stay inside the baseball from an open stance during his round of batting practice. The sophomore barreled the baseball consistently with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Art displayed athletic actions in the outfield and an accurate 74 mph arm. The righty sat 73-75 from a high 3/4 arm slot from the mound.

6/25/14 Art went 2-for-7 in game action while barreling the baseball in several other at bats. The 5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitter has loose hands and good tempo to his swing mechanics from a slightly open stance. Art displayed a 73 mph arm from the outfield and pounded the strike zone with a fastball in the low 70s during his time on the mound.

6/18/14 Art is a 5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitter that swings from a slightly open stance. He showed good rhythm to his swing and the ability to barrel the baseball routinely during BP with a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Art worked two effective innings on the mound sitting in the low 70s from a 3/4 arm slot while also commanding a 70 mph curveball. Art displayed good feet with a 7.28 60-yard dash and solid mechanics defensively in the outfield with a 75 mph throwing arm.

2/15/14 Art is a 5-foot-11, 145-pound freshman that turned in a 4.41 home-to-1B time and showcased an accurate 71 mph arm from the outfield. Art shows his greatest promise at the plate. The right-handed hitter utilizes a square stance, no stride and a direct path to the baseball. He stayed inside the ball well during his round of batting practice, barreling most baseballs with a bat exit velocity of 73 mph.

11/2/13 Art is a two-way prospect that showcased a solid 82 mph bat exit velocity. The right-handed hitter barreled the baseball consistently from a square stance with no stride. He showed the ability to stay inside the baseball and to make consistent hard contact. The 5-foot-10, 140-pound freshman displayed solid actions in the outfield and his 71 mph arm will likely improve as his frame fills out.
