RHP Jack Poellot (Lake Country Lutheran, 2025) had a very strong showing this weekend which included six strong innings of no run baseball. Poellot showed clean, consistent mechanics with a strong upper body that helped him stay around the zone. Throughout the six scoreless, Jack ranged from 85-88 mph with some arm side run on the fastball, combining it with a tight 11/5 slider that sat 74-76 mph.

Built at an athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, Poellot is a quick-armed right-hander who ran his fastball up to 87 mph, while sitting in the 84-86 mph range throughout. He paired his fastball with a curveball in the high-60s which played with late 11/5 action and also induced a handful of awkward swings-and-misses. Poellot would finish his illustrious outing with six strikeouts, while scattering just three hits in his six shut-out innings of work.

Currently the No. 14 ranked player in the state, Jack Poellot (Lake Country Lutheran, 2025) showed well in front of our staff once again. Built at an athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, Poellot has evenly distributed strength and weight with room to add on more. The right-handed hitter used the whole field throughout his round, staying short to the ball with a rotational and flat path - reaching up to 91.6 mph with a max distance of 340’. Poellet has some serious arm strength (87 mph) with carry and a quick release from the outfield. 

Poellot is another notable underclassman who showed well here and represented Team Wisconsin at the PBR Junior Future Games last August. Built at an athletic 6-foot, 170 pounds, fit with proportional strength, Poellot ran a 7.11 in the 60-yard dash to start his day. He showed us clear developmental strides made in the winter, attacking baseballs with quality barrel speed (74 mph average) throughout BP. Poellot worked from a stock setup with a big vertical rhythm, maintaining an inside track, and delivering the barrel quickly for a youngster. He showed feel to backspin line drives and moments of feel for slugging to the pull side as he matured physically. Poellot travels low to the baseball on the infield with a well timed stagger step from right to left. He also is quick to transition and clean on the exchanges.

Poellot was arguably the team’s top two-way asset last week at the Junior Future Games. Poellot demonstrated upside all over the diamond down in Georgia, first during Wednesday’s workout, in which he showcased true shortstop actions while spraying line-drives around the field from both batter’s boxes. Poellot’s glove can be a major asset for him, as the 5-foot-11, 160-pound prospect is a smooth, sure-handed defender with athletic infield actions and adept body control for someone his age, too. During pool play, Poellot was called on to relieve against Team Texas on Saturday morning, and his future from the mound is similarly bright. He attacked the zone with an upper-70s fastball that reached an 82 mph high, and he showed the feel to spin a slurve-type breaking ball in all counts that made for a quality outing against formidable competition. Poellot’s athleticism provides him with multiple routes to success both in high school and beyond.

5-foot-11, 160 pounds; athleticism in build with definition/muscle in lower half. Started on the mound for Midwest Halos 14U on Saturday night against Central Illinois Outlaws at the PBR at The Rock Championships. Sets up balanced on the first base side of the rubber, quick side step initiates a tall/fall type delivery, high posture at balance, works across body and lands closed to target. Easy, low-effort operation with controlled athleticism through release. Quick/loose arm action, high ¾ arm slot; hides the ball some behind back hip. Fastball sat 81-83 mph early, settled in at 76-78 in the fourth and fifth inning. Straight action, will occasionally cut the seams for late glove-side action, primarily thrown for strikes. Developing feel to spin breaking ball at 69-71 mph, 11/5 shape, did flash slurve-type spin at times that paired better off arm-side fastball. Also a sure-handed middle infielder, athletic lower half arrives to ground balls fluidly and in rhythm, armed with the arm strength to fit on the left side. Switch-hitter with quick-twitch hands from both batter’s boxes.

Hit: SH. Stands tall in the box with some lower half bend, steady/controlled load, leg lift timing trigger.  More natural and on plane from the right side. Quick hands, short path to contact, occasionally works uphill.
Power: 89.64 max exit velocity, averaged 79.9 mph. 289’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C -  mph. INF - 83 mph. OF -  mph. Long, loose arm circle finishes from a high 3/4 slot. Comfortable dropping angles on the move.
Defense: Athletic feet, plays fast. Sure hands, steady hand transfer, plays through the baseball at release.
Run: 7.51 runner in the 60.

Body: 5-8, 135-pounds. Lean, athletic frame.
Hit: SH. Balanced setup, smooth load, short stride to even.  Quick hands from the right side, short and level bat path, line drive approach, some feel for the barrel. Developing switch hitter, currently more natural from the right side.
Power: 83 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. INF - 81 mph. Short and loose arm action, high 3/4 slot. Advanced arm strength for age.
Defense: Advanced infield actions for age. Athletic feet that work in rhythm, soft hands, clean and quick funnels, plays through the baseball. Capable of sticking up the middle moving forward.
Run: 7.62 runner in the 60. 

5-foot-6, 150 pounds; slight, athletic frame. Playing up a level this weekend, Poellot relieved Wachowiak from his start on Friday in a big spot and he came out hot, sitting 75-78 mph, touching 79; Poellot topped 75 a couple of weekends back at our 14U tournament, so he’s already up a few ticks. He’s an athlete with a quick, loose arm, worth following in this 2024 class. He K’d three in his 1.1 innings on Friday night.

Athletic build. Started on the mound against Forceout on Friday. Loose and clean arm action, high ¾ slot, quick draw. Athletic on the mound, repeatable delivery, strong front side, closed-toe landing. Got in rhythm early and maintained it throughout his start. Fastball sat at a firm 73-75 mph with late arm-side run, showed easy control to both sides of the plate, and often worked ahead. Curveball played between 60-62 mph, 11/5 shape, gradual action, feel to spin. Struck out eight batters in four innings of work.
