Central Coast Section, CA: Spring 2020 is here and as teams get ready for game action to start in the next two weeks, I've been working my lists for upper-class (2020/2021) players chomping at the bit to keep playing at the next level. Athleticism, raw tools, and projection are all things I saw when creating this list. Whether you are a scout, recruiter, fan or parent here are twenty uncommitted upper-class players to keep an eye on during the 2020 Central Coast Section season.

Max Farfan 2020 3B Salinas Zone knowledge with Hit tool and burgeoning Power at plate. Defense/Arm to be at 3rd Base for Future; Has cleaned up body
Connor Hennings 2020 OF/RHP Live Oak 6-3, 200 running sub 6.7 60s showing Abv Avg arm, regular hard contact. Two-way skills also with FB up to Mid-80s and tight SLD
Justin Deal 2020 MIF Monterey Glove skills to play every spot in the INF. Improved compact swing. Has also shown ability to get to Mid-80's on the hill in Closer role
Bryce Gundersen 2020 MIF Scotts Valley Speed/glove actions to play in the middle of the field. Bat can create some damage and still space for added strength/growth
Logan Azem 2020 OF Serra Bat-to-ball skills from clean LH swing; seen in game power as well. Defense/speed to fit LF/CF profile. Grinder on the field.
Brady Chavez 2020 OF/RHP Santa Cruz LH swing with ability to hit for XBH. Defense/arm strength to fit corner OF. Strike thrower on the hill with feel for two off-speed pitches
Tristan Silveria 2020 SS/OF Mountain View Plus speed/instincts to be base stealer. Quick hands with strong swing. Abv Avg arm at SS and speed translates to middle of field.
Gianluca Shinn 2020 LHP St. Francis Lefty worked in Mid 80's last season and should be higher this Spring. SLD/CHG have some feel and ability to get hitters off FB.
Bryce Clark 2020 RHP Scotts Valley Working upwards of high/mid 80's with more power SLD this Fall. Committed to strength/conditioning and stuff showing more promise
Joey Taddie 2020 C/1B Leland Recently became available and shows strength in 6-5 frame. Power to hit in middle of a lineup.
Nathaniel Brouse 2021 RHP Aptos Loose and live arm getting up to high 80's this summer.
Abv Avg SLD and potential for avg CHG.
Nathan Wood 2021 C Pacific Grove Maturity has added big time strength. Impact Bat-to-ball skills. Catch/Throw skills to stick behind the dish with growing receiving skills.
Joshua Algarin 2021 OF/LHP The King's Academy High 80's from OF with speed to play all three spots. Arm works on Hill. Skilled hitter with ability to drive balls and create loud contact
Jeff Heard 2021 OF/LHP Valley Christian Strong swing with easy juice. Speed/athleticism to cover in OF spots. Could be a breakout swing with one of best teams in Section
PJ Kissee 2021 OF/1B Live Oak Physical and strong in the 6-3 frame using it for consistent hard contact. Defensively fits corner OF/1B where power translates
Teague Drotar 2021 OF/RHP Los Gatos Just beginning to tap into full ability and chance for big Spring production. Loose arm shows opportunity for two-way status
JC Ng 2021 OF Menlo Strong whippy barrel and speed to play in CF/LF and track down balls. Instinctive on the field and does a little bit of everything.
Griffin Allen 2021 RHP/1B Valley Christian Power arm/power bat combo has lost weight and continues to make strides. Chance to be one of top 2 pitchers at VC this Spring.
Reymello Murphy 2021 OF Archbishop Mitty Defensive skills stood out as Soph on Varsity with Abv Avg defense in CF. Bat made for on-base approach and chance to stay atop a lineup.
Max Coupe 2021 OF Menlo-Atherton Impressed in Fall with balls jumping off the bat. OF skills and arm speed could see him be a late bloomer.
