5-10, 185 compact frame with current strength in the squared shoulders. High hands/high back elbow starting tall before loading hands down and back and holding load in core and back hip; quick and fluid hands working barrel on plane upwards through the zone. Feel for the barrel and understands his approach being able to work gap-to-gap and knowing when he can get to his pullside pop (87 EV); continues to show professional rounds of batting practice that translate to game as well. Light feet and good athleticism in the OF staying behind the baseball and working body through it in rhythm; arm is compact with some extra steps in the load up. Consistently accurate and true throws to each of the bags (81 OF).

PBR Norcal Uncommitted Senior Games - Strong compact build on medium frame moving feet well at 5-foot-10, 185-pounds; make-up speed in OF (7.15 60-yard) able to close on balls. Put together a professional BP spraying line drives all around the field with the short compact swing; gets on plane early and the hands speed to keep barrel in the zone (89 mph exit velocity off the tee). Just missed a couple hits right on pitches during the game for hard lineouts to CF and LF. Arm fits best in LF/CF (consistent 82-83 mph outfield throws) with the ability to close on the baseball and accurate throws to bags. Routinely displays not only his tools but also his ability to perform, each time we see him, both in environments like this and game action. A player that a coach can recruit and trust in what he will get when he comes to campus.

NCA Top Prospect ID - Physical and athletic, full medium frame with high waist and quick feet (6.98 60 yd). Slight bend in the knees keeping hands at the back shoulder with high back elbow; hand pump timed up with toe-tap allowing him to create momentum in the swing and finishing with rolled back hip. Barrel has slight upwards path getting on plane early and driving through extension with quick bat and easy bat-to-ball skills; worked the gaps with carry and hard line drives through the middle of the field (90 EV). Moves well in the OF closing on the ball with ease and using strong footwork to stay inline with the bases. Arm has full compact swing staying online to bases with fit for CF showing strong accuracy (82 MPH).

CCB World Series - Medium, full frame with strength in the build and quick actions from the lower half, Azem continues to show well this Summer starting a solid weekend with good measurables (6.82 60yd, 84 EV, 80 MPH). Only available for Saturday’s game, Azem showed the ability to stick in CF tracking balls down with a good 1st step and using his accurate arm to get the ball in quickly. Azem showed patience at the plate and feel for the barrel being able to drive balls into both gaps; also showed pop during BP. His speed and base running skills also were present with two stolen bases.

BAWS 2019 - Solid, compact frame with a high waist showed some good tools during testing day, but it was his constant energy and gameplay that really carried him for the weekend. Showed the athleticism running a 6.9 60-yd before putting together a strong round of BP where he showed quick turns and strength as he drove balls to the pullside flashing pop that way as well (87 EV). In the OF the arm is compact and accurate (78 MPH) profiling best in LF/CF. During the games Azem went and showed that the tools were very real and put them to use. Picked up 5 hits over the weekend and showed feel for the barrel all around the field. Beat out a hard single into the 4-hole using his speed to get down the line (4.33 H-1st) and used that speed taking bases at will; was regularly the dirtiest guy in the dugout because of it. Ended the weekend with a HR to RF capping off the flashes shown during BP. I’d seen Azem a bit during the Spring season at Serra, but this weekend gave me a great look at his overall talent; chance to make an impact this summer/fall. Another name that was a finalist for the MVP.

PBR Norcal Underclass Games - 5-foot-10, 165-pounds, lean athletic build and good baseball body type, some solid present day strength and plays with athleticism. Balanced set-up, smooth load of hands, good timing of lower/upper body, line drive pull-side approach during batting practice. Ball comes off bat well and with his gap to gap approach, including ability to use the opposite field, his hitting ability and quickness are a good combination. Game at-bats showed ability to make solid contact to all fields and good barrel awareness. Defensively possesses a good arm that plays at all three outfield positions. One of the better looking outfielders in the workout, over the top slot with good accuracy and throws that carry. Fluid and clean to the ball and athletically gets to a good throwing position. Overall does quite a lot quite well, simple and efficient but also athletic and still has a ceiling to reach. Given his size and arm and foot quickness, would be interesting to see him as a middle infielder.
