Below are a few highlights in the updated class of 2018 rankings:

JT Ginn RHP / SS / Brandon, MS / 2018

The Mississippi State recruit maintains his status atop the Mississippi class of 2018 rankings, as the 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-hander had a wildly successful summer, assisting the USA 18U National Team in winning the gold medal. Over the course of the summer Ginn showed his present elite-level, premium stuff on the mound, pitching 93-96 mph with his fastball, and touching 97 mph with heavy, late life. Additionally, Ginn showed premium secondary stuff this summer, spinning a sharp, hard slider at 85-87 mph with late break and depth, allowing him to dominate some of the country’s best hitters.

Regi Grace RHP / Madison Central, MS / 2018

A Mississippi State recruit, Grace has shown arm strength before, running his fastball up to 90 mph. Over the course of the fall, the physical 6-foot-1, 215-pounder has made his presence known at the plate, as well. A left-handed hitter with a slightly open and relaxed setup, he stands in the box with confidence and minimal movement in his swing. The profile of his left-handed bat, combined with athleticism and arm strength is a big reason for Grace’s ascent in the updated list.

Dexter Jordan OF / 3B / Hattiesburg , MS / 2018

A Louisiana-Lafayette recruit with a medium, strong 6-foot, 193-pound frame. Jordan checks in at No. 8  in the updated list. A right-handed hitter, Jordan  put on a display at November’s All-State Games, with an explosive, compact stroke. The ball jumps off his bat, as he generates loose, effortless bat speed, using an aggressive line-drive type approach.

Willie Joe Garry Jr. OF / Pascagoula, MS / 2018

After a strong summer and fall season, the Pearl River Community College recruit makes a big jump in the updated rankings, to No. 17 spot.  The twitchy, athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder continued to showcase his intriguing tools at November’s All-State Games, where he posted the top exit velocity of the day at 96 mph and displayed a long, loose arm action with accuracy and carry on throws with a positional velocity of 87 mph.

Adarius Myers OF / Seminary, MS / 2018

A Louisiana Tech signee, Myers checks in at No. 22 in the updated Mississippi class of 2018 rankings. Myers stands 5-foot-10, 180-pounds with a strong, athletic build, defined strength in wrists and explosive athleticism, as he posted a blazing 6.58 60-yard dash during the recent All-State Games.

Austen Izzio 3B / 2B / Pearl River Central, MS / 2018

A Pearl River recruit, Izzio checks in at No. 28 in the 2018 rankings update. A confident, quick-twitch athlete, Izzio has a projectable, lean-muscular 6-foot-1, 198-pound frame. Defensively, he continued to show overall improvements in his game at the All-State Games, displaying a high-level of feel with actions and soft hands in the infield, as well as elite-level athleticism, posting a 6.61 60-yard dash.
