The Georgia Commit has continued to do what he has done all year and produce in big moments for Cartersville late in the game. Daniel came through late in the game Tuesday with a 3 run homer to take the lead of region opponent Calhoun in the 5th inning. Caleb has been impressive at the plate in his Senior season showing power to all parts of the field. Daniel puts together mature at bats staying patient and working counts.

Speaking of another player who just flat out hits, and that’s the Cartersville senior center fielder. Second time seeing Daniel early this spring and it’s been nothing but barrels each time. There’s above-average bat speed present with ability to create easy leverage from the bat path. It’s legit all-fields power for the Georgia commit that showed in-game with a ringing 3B to dead CF and followed with an absolute no-doubt 3-run home run down the RF line to give the Canes the go-ahead runs late. The potential for above-average to plus raw power tool in real, and the hit tool is following close behind. Daniel flashed an impressive glove in center as well, closing the game on a full-speed diving catch. The performances speak for themselves for Daniel and starting to garner legit draft attention early this spring.

Positional Profile: C/SS Advanced left-handed bat in the 2024 class. Body: 6-foot-0, 165-pounds. Medium sized frame, proportional with lean strength. Hit: LHH. Open setup with weight displaced on back-side, hands begin high with barrel wrapped, drop on load, short stride, great balance, smooth, methodical rhythm. Advanced feel for the barrel and hand-eye coordination, able to spray the ball to all fields with line drive contact, repeatable swing, gets the back elbow in and through the zone in a hurry, allowing for extension and increased use of power, whippy bat speed. Power: 83.2 max exit velocity, averaged 73.8 mph. 288’ max distance. Arm: RH. C - 76 mph. INF - 81 mph. Short arm action to a 3/4 slot, carry with accuracy on the infield and behind the dish. Defense: C: Sits up in stance with some flexibility, plays through the ball, quick, clean on exchanges, short, quick footwork. SS: Plays through the ball with a confident glove hand, funnels to mid-section, clean on exchanges, some fluidity in footwork. Good feel for both positions. Run: 6.90 runner in the 60.
