RHP Brady Klepfer (Huntley) came away a winner from Saturday’s showcase with his strong showing on the mound. Listed at 5-foot-10, 163-pounds, Klepfer still has plenty of room for added strength and development in the coming years. On the mound, the right-hander works with a controlled tempo and simple delivery, using a medium leg-lift into balance point before shifting into a drop/drive lower-half, striding in-line with the plate. His fastball sat in the 81-82 mph range, topping out at 83 mph with finish through the zone. He flipped in his curveball at 71-73 mph, playing with tight/sharp 11/5 shape and some feel for the zone. His changeup came out of the hand with heavy/late dive to the arm-side, killing spin and sitting 74-75 mph.

Body: 5-10, 163-pounds. High waisted, athletic with broad shoulders and room for growth.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, slightly open and minimal load. Aggressive controlled swing, uphill path, pull approach and swings with intent.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 80 mph.
Arm: RH. C - 77 mph. INF - 81 mph. C: Longer draw, reaches back into a high 3/4 slot with accuracy. INF: 3/4 slot, plays from multiple angles on the move.
Defense: 2.13-2.19 pop times. C: Quiet receiver with reliable hands, clean transfer, gains ground towards second. INF: Active feet, two-hand gather, secures the ball into his body, clean transfer.
Run: 4.16 runner in the 30-yard split.

Delivery: Controlled tempo, simple delivery and repeats, medium leg-lift into balance point, drop and drive lower-half, stride works in-line.
Arm Action: RH. Long and loose arm swing into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. Life through the zone with finish.  T2301, 2222 average rpm.
CB: 71-73 mph. Sharp, tight 11/5 shape.  T2096, 2037 average rpm.
CH: 74-75 mph. Plays with heavy and late dive to the arm-side.  T1847, 1787 average rpm.

Body: 5-7, 153-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open, short/simple stride. Creates hand separation, level path through the zone with whippy arms, quick hands.
Power: 78.7 max exit velocity, averaged 74.2 mph. 239’ max distance.
Arm: RH. C - 70 mph. INF - 77 mph. Short over the top, strong arm, carries well for age. Arm plays longer on the infield with lengthier exchange, showed similar carry and arm strength.
Defense: 2.26 - 2.68 pop times. C: Long out of the chute at times, makes up for it with arm strength, tall setup. INF: gets around the baseball, quick feet, steady hands.
Run: 4.53 runner home-to-first.

Delivery: Segmented delivery with effort, drives off the back leg, shoulders slightly close off, lands squared.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T75.8, 73.8-75.3 mph. Clean, four seam type. T1755, 1616 average rpm.
CB: 63.0-64.9 mph. 11/5 shape, gradual break. T1768, 1684 average rpm.
CH: 64.4-65.7 mph. Arm-side run with sink, down and in on a righty. T1438, 1327 average rpm.

RHP Brady Klepfer (Huntley) gave our scouting staff a strong look on the mound over the weekend. The right-hander works from an over-the-top slot while moving down the mound with an athletic drop/drive lower-half. His fastball sat mainly 74-75 mph, topping at 76, with ride through the zone and notable arm-side life. Klepfer then displayed feel for a breaking ball in the 63-65 mph range, playing off an 11/5 plane with near-fastball arm-speed. With advanced feel for a fading changeup thrown at 64-66 mph, the right-hander’s complete arsenal was one of the best in attendance. Klepfer also made a statement with his right-handed bat. During his round of BP he was making loud, hard contact throughout his round with a level path that stays through the zone a long time.

Defense: Quick active feet, clean exchange, plays through the baseball.
Arm: RH. INF - 65 mph. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Hit: RHH. Athletic, slightly open setup, smooth pre-pitch load, short stride.  Quick hands, short uphill swing, working gap-to-gap, fluid rhythm.
Power: 63 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 5.33 home-to-first. 

Delivery: Side saddle delivery with regular effort, works in line, falls off.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, H 3/4 slot.
FB: T65, 65-65 mph. Plays straight, sinks at the end.
CB: 53-56 mph. Sweeping 11/5 action.
CH: 56-58 mph. Maintains arm speed, sinking action.
