A trio of Morton HS 2026 graduates; INF Camden Taylor, RHP/INF Cameron Crawford and OF Andy Ballard showed well at the Peoria event. Taylor has a fluid, projectable left-handed swing that stays on-plane while using the whole field. Crawford has a strong durable frame with above-average bat strength for his age (T89.9 mph with a max distance of 315). He also sat 77-78 mph on the mound. Ballard has a 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, ran a 7.16, was 80 mph from the outfield and showed off a simple repeatable left-handed swing that was on the barrel up the middle of the field with easy effort throughout.

Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. SLim build with broad shoulders. Room to add.
Hit: LHH. Balanced setup, fluid load and stride. Athletic, fluid swing, loose athletic hands, natural lift and bat stays on-plane.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 76.5 mph. 254’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 70 mph. High 3/4 slot, some life to the arm.
Defense: Two-hand gather out front, steady hands and actions, clean/quick transfer, plays with some rhythm.
Run: 7.69 runner in the 60. 

Delivery: Quick side step windup. In-line leg lift into tall and fall delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Medium arm circle into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T77, 75-77 mph. Flashed life through the zone. Tendency to cut.  T2103, 1948 average rpm.
CB: 63-65 mph. Gradual 11/5 action.  T1815, 1781 average rpm.
CH: 70-71 mph. Developing feel. Flashed running action.  T1770, 1719 average rpm.
