Notre Dame commit. Ranked No. 36 in Illinois’ senior class. Started at shortstop and batted leadoff for the Pioneers. Stands in a 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with athleticism and lean strength. Vercruysse stood out defensively, showing smooth, athletic actions with quality footwork and soft hands; he roamed the infield with ease and has a clean transfer with a strong, accurate arm across the diamond. At the plate he has a simple swing from the right side of the plate with bat speed and a slight uphill path. He went 1-for-2 with a home run, three RBIs, two walks and one run scored; his home run was a no-doubt blast well over the left field wall.
Notre Dame commit. Vercruysse went 7-for-14 on the week with two home runs, one double and five RBIs. In their 9-5 win over Rochester, he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double, four RBIs, three runs scored and a walk. On the season, Vercruysse is 15-for-33 (.455).
Notre Dame commit. On the week, Vercruysse went 6-for-12 with three triples, two doubles and four RBIs. In their 8-3 win over Ponte Vedra, he went 2-for-3 with a triple, double, two RBIs and one run scored. He had another impressive performance against South Fork, going 2-for-3 with a triple, one RBI, two runs scored and a walk.
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Lean frame. Long limbed, high-waisted with broad shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Athletic, balanced setup, slight upper half lean over the plate, toe-taps into a medium stride. Hands work on top of the baseball, flashed extension out front, worked to stay up the middle of the field with line-drives and elevated contact, and used the ground through impact. 68.5 mph bat speed with 8 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 85.3 mph. 342’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 88 mph. Short, quick arm action, 3/4 slot, can play from multiple slots.
Defense: Sure-handed, gains ground through transfer. Quick first step at times, clean/steady double play turn.
Run: 7.06 runner in the 60.

INF/RHP Charlie Vercruysse (Normal University) battled some injuries in 2022 but looked back to 100% at the event. The Notre Dame commit continues to add quality, lean strength to his 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame and he tied for the top infield velocity of the day at 92 mph. Vercruysse showed easy range and body control to both sides with sure-hands and a feel for the infield. Offensively, the right-handed hitter demonstrated excellent barrel feel during his round of BP, repeating hard-hit line-drive contact efficiently, favoring the pull-side gap and up the middle. He has an easy, athletic swing that gets to upper-90s efficiently (98.5 mph max).
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 6-2, 185-pounds. Athletic build with some strength throughout, room to add on more weight as he matures.
Hit: RHH. Wide, balanced setup, high leg-kick with a lift and place stride. Quick, strong hands, direct path to the ball, uses the whole field with some authority.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 89.4 mph. 325’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 92 mph. Easy carry and life out of the hand, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Soft hands, athletic actions through the ball, range to both sides of his glove.
Run: 6.97 runner in the 60.

Vercruysse impressed throughout the day with a couple quality at-bats and lock-down defense up the middle. The right-handed hitter starts in a wide setup that moves into a short, toe-tap stride; his hands are quick to the baseball, creating easy bat-speed with a flat path and line-drive approach - connecting for multiple barrels throughout the day with some pop off the bat. On the infield, Vercruysse is a fluid mover with range to both sides of his glove, maintaining body control throughout his movements and pairing his athleticism with soft/receptive hands that work out in front. His arm plays with carry and velocity across the diamond, showcasing multiple slots on the move. High-level 2024 middle infielder to know.
Notre Dame commit, currently ranked No. 11 in Illinois. Athletically built, 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with room for added growth. Hit in the three-hole and started at second base as just a sophomore for the No. 3 team in the state. Mature presence in the batter’s box; works counts and has a simple/fluid right-handed swing - doubled down the line in a R/R matchup. Took impressive reps during IO; active feet around the ball paired with soft hands, playing through the ball into a clean transfer, arm plays with backspin and obvious velocity. Moves athletically around the diamond with a confident presence - high-level 2024 prospect with upside to all parts of his game.
Verbally committed to Notre Dame.

Hit: RHH. Wide, balanced stance, quick pre-load actions, short stride. Flashed bat speed, athletic hands, compact swing, ability to drive the ball to all fields.

6-foot-2, 155-pound, high-waisted, long-limbed, advanced build, right-handed hitting, two-way prospect. Frame should continue to add quality strength as he matures. Long-strided, graceful runner, ran a 7.25 laser-timed 60 at the 2024 Top Prospect Games in August. Offensively, has some rawness to the approach and swing but makes up for it with athletic, quick, strong hands. Ball comes off the bat hard for his age. Finished 3-for-6 with a triple and two RBI’s.

Body: 6-1, 150-pounds. Highly-athletic, high-waisted frame.
Delivery: Stretch-only; high knee tuck balance point, slight coil. Tall/fall down mound, on line, square landing, tall finish in control.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter arm circle, 3/4 slot; quick, loose arm action.
FB: T82, 77-79 mph. Mostly straight, slight tail; low-spin type (averaged 1,809 rpm).
CH: 70-73 mph. Mostly maintains arm speed; generates some late arm-side run/fade.
