The 5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect posted a 6.94 60 time before demonstrating soft, athletic hands defensively from the infield with a strong arm to pair across the diamond (84 mph). With similar actions from the outfield, he posted an 86 mph bullet on his best throw to home. Offensively, Newman swings a quick, direct right-handed barrel with an aggressive approach and stable bat-to-ball skills to pair.

He went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs, a run, and a stolen base in their 10-5 win over Palatine. Against No. 24 Grayslake Central, he tallied a hit with two RBIs and a stolen base.
