RHP John Strzechowski (St. Laurence, 2026) coming off a strong junior season winning a state championship, Strzechowski showed well striking out two over two innings pitched while not allowing a hit. Athletic delivery with a high leg lift in a directional drop-and-drive move. Short, clean arm-action out of a ¾ slot. Utilized an advanced three-pitch mix keeping hitters off balance. Fastball sat mid-80s running it up to 86 mph with an average of 19.7 inches of induced vertical break. Slider sat 74-76 mph with an average of -15.7 inches of horizontal movement. Changeup capped off his arsenal at 74-76 mph with feel and fade.

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 85 in the state. Strong 6-foot, 183-pound frame. Started on the mound. Strzechowski had a strong appearance on Saturday as he threw four innings to lead the Vikings to a 3A State championship. The right-hander operates from a simple, controlled delivery with a high leg lift while having a drop/drive approach. Full, clean, quick arm action from a ¾ slot. His fastball sat 83-86 with life. Mixed in a changeup that sat 78-79 with some sinking action. Also, threw a curveball that sat in the low-70s that produced swings/misses.

Strzechowski owns a 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic frame. He’s a clean mover on the mound with athletic actions, and he showed a fastball that sat 84-86 mph with some carry through the zone. He mixed in a low-70s slider with short horizontal break, and a changeup with slight arm-side fade, sitting 76-78 mph.

OF John Strzechowski (St. Laurence, 2026) currently comes in as the No. 47 ranked prospect in IL. Listed at 6-foot, 160-pounds, Strzechowski has a lean and projectable build. The right-handed hitter has upside in his swing; working with a controlled stride, creating slight hand-separation before footstrike, still remains short and quick to the ball with a loose barrel through the zone, creating extension through contact. Upside athlete and bat to know within the state.

INF John Strzechowski (St. Laurence, 2026) is a two-way prospect to know in the class but he caught our attention as a position player on day one of the event. The right-handed hitter has a long, upside frame and his swing should only continue to tick up as he adds quality strength. He stays short and repeatable to the ball with loose hands and a mature approach utilizing the middle of the field.

Defense: Athletic, clean mover through the ball, sequences well into crow hop.

RHP John Strzechowski (St. Laurence, 2026) caught some eyes with his above-average pitchability, especially for his age. Listed at a projectable 5-foot-11, 150-pounds with room to add on strength as he matures. The right-hander pounded the zone with all three of his pitches, striking out two against no walks in two innings of work. His fastball cruised at 78-80 mph, topping out at 80.9 mph with slight running action. Showed the ability to keep his curveball down and miss barrels, 67-71 mph with 11/5 shape. Confident in a heavy fading changeup that he could land for strikes in any count, 71-73 mph.
