Augustana commit, currently ranked No. 220 in the state. Handled the designated hitter role and hopped on the mound in the later innings to give an impressive two-way showing. At the plate, the right-handed hitter finished the first game with a loud single to left field, and he continued to roll into his second game of the day collecting two more knocks. Simple, controlled load with a short stride, hands work short to the ball with a flat path, some controlled aggression in the swing with a pull-side approach. On the mound, the right-hander displayed a heavy dose of fastballs, cruising in the 87-89 mph range with some tilt and angle through the zone, also occasionally playing in the upper quadrant. High-intent delivery with some arm-speed from a high ¾ release.

3B Kaileb Hackman (Normal Community, 2024) is a physically imposing 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect that had one of the better workouts on day one of the Illinois State Games. Hackman showed an intriguing power/speed combo, running a 6.72 60 while squaring his hardest ball up at 99.1 mph, and sending his furthest barrel 369 feet as well. Across the diamond, Hackman was 85 mph on his hardest bullet. 

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 200-pounds with strength throughout. Hackman hopped on the mound today and dominated in his three innings of work. Hackman has a simple and repeatable delivery that works downhill from the right side. Hackman had a fastball that sat 83-86 mph with sink, played both at the top and at the bottom of the zone. Hackman paired his fastball with a tight slider that induced uncomfortable swings with clear out-pitch capabilities. Hackman’s final line: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K. 

Ranked No. 185 in the state. Hackman has a visibly strong build at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds.The muscular third basemen crushed a line-drive home run to left-center on saturday, also adding a single and a flyout to the warning track in center field. Hackman's swing is quick and gets the barrel straight to the ball with extension after contact. The power hitting third baseman is a name to watch in the 2024 class.  

6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Athletic, stocky build. Currently ranked No. 185 in Illinois’ 2024 class and eighth at third base. Hackman impressed at the plate collecting two doubles and an RBI. Hackman starts with a wide stance with a bent lower half. Has an upright upper half with back elbow parallel with his shoulders. Has short leg lift and stride, utilizes his lower half, and long swing for power with quick hands. 

Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, strong upper-half build with clear athleticism. Played third base and batted cleanup. Finished the day 2-for-3 with an RBI, a walk and two stolen bases. Showed clear pop off the barrel with quick hands that are direct to the ball. Defensviley, showed smooth infield actions with a quality arm and accurate throws.

3B/RHP Kaileb Hackman (Normal Community, 2024) had one of the more productive three games at the plate for Team 2. Hackman has a 6-foot-1, 190-pound, muscle-bound frame and plenty of bat strength in his right-handed swing, highlighted by a 93.3 mph max exit velocity and 339 feet max distance. He also was on the sweet spot 58% of the time in BP and finished game play 2-for-7 with a walk, RBI and run scored.
