OF/RHP Niko Villacci (Oswego East, 2026) stands in an athletic 5-foot-10, 162-pound frame, and the rising junior showed quality actions throughout the event. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed a standard setup with minimal wasted movements and pull-side tendencies. Defensively, Villacci showed a strong arm from the outfield that was clocked at up to 91 mph. On the mound, he showed athletic movements coming from an overhead arm slot. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a loose right-handed swing with controlled aggression, working uphill through the zone and using the middle of the field. His swing looks to project into some more power as he continues to add weight and strength in the future.

Sturdy, compact frame with athleticism attached. Started at shortstop for Illinois Premier in Friday’s nightcap. Looked the part of a stable up-the-middle defender. Flashed advanced actions for age in between innings, particularly with consistently smooth feet that worked around the baseball in tempo and soft hands to pair. Arm played average across the diamond in-game, accurate to the bag. Athletic at the plate, long aggressive bat path to contact with a pull-side approach. Drove a fastball deep over the left field fence for a no-doubt home run on Fenway Field. Follow defender who’s prospect status will tick up throughout his high school career should he continue making strides offensively.
