On Monday, Feb. 20, the PBR Illinois staff traveled to the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Dome in Lockport, Ill., to host the Lockport Preseason ID. This event provided us an ample opportunity to check-in on some of the area’s high school prospects and identify several names as we prepared for the IHSA season, as well as future invite-only events on the PBR Illinois calendar. 

We continue the positional breakdown of the event with a look at the list of infielders from the day. 

Connor MacMillan (Normal University) and Maxwell Burke (Wheaton North) are a couple of left-handed hitting 2025s who deserve a mention but just missed out on the top-15 below. 

Two other infielders who had a solid all-around day was 2026 MIF Jose Gonzalez (Reavis) and 2024 Anthony Massa (Lincoln-Way West). Gonzalez has an upside right-handed swing with smooth infield actions while Massa has an easy right-handed swing with a heavy barrel.
