Hit: RHH. Slightly open base, works back to even with a short toe-tap stride. Hands stay on top of the ball, pull-side approach, intentful swing, creates some length through the zone. 68.8 mph bat speed with 16g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 mph max exit velocity (85 avg.); 310-foot max batted distance.

Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 43 in the state. 6-foot-1, 177-pounds, lean and athletic build with room to add more strength. Started at shortstop and hit out of the four-hole, working on the barrel a couple times with nothing to show for it. Athletic right-handed swing, fluid load and hands, present bat-speed, sees spin and sees it deep, lining out hard to right field twice. Showed well on the infield with a quick first step and easy range to both sides of his glove, soft hands and fluid actions, high IQ and makes decisions quickly. Arm plays with accuracy across from a clean release.

MIF Brett Tucker (Lemont) is an upside prospect in Illinois that’s coming off a State Runner-Up run this past spring. A wiry athlete in a 6-foot-1, 177-pound frame, Tucker is a strong defender up the middle with soft hands, range and a strong arm on throws across the diamond (T88 mph). His footspeed continues to improve, running a 7.10 60 time at this event, which is a big jump since his last 60 time with us (7.60). A right-handed hitter at the plate, Tucker has an athletic and easy swing, recording a max exit velocity of 95.3 mph. He finished gameplay 2-for-5 with three runs, two walks and three stolen bases. An uncommitted name-to-know, ranked No. 58 in Illinois’ 2026 ranked.

Hit: RHH. Taller setup, wider stance, small leg lift with short stride. Quick, twitchy hands, slightly uphill path, mostly pull-side approach. 71.6 mph bat speed with 21 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 85.7 mph. 334’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 88 mph. Long, quick arm action, high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Sure-handed actions, two-hand gather out front, secures the ball into his body.

Uncommitted. Ranked No. 58 in Illinois’ 2026 class. Stands in a projectable and athletic 6-foot-1 165.4-pound frame. Started at shortstop and batted sixth. Stood out defensively with steady hands and athletic actions to both sides, made a diving play to his back hand and recorded an out. At the plate it’s a simple right-handed swing with loose, athletic hands and a slightly uphill bat path. Barreled three balls in the game, finishing the day 2-for-4 with a triple, double, two RBI and one run scored. Tucker’s stellar play carried over into Saturday in the State Title game. Early in the game Crystal Lake Central was threatening to score the game’s first run, they hit a ball deep into the left-center gap forcing a relay from the Lemont defense; and from shallow left field, Tucker made a strong and on-the-money throw to home plate to cut down the runner trying to score. Tucker has a soccer background and it showed on the basepaths at points in the game where he forced some defensive miscues thanks to his speed and heady-baserunning. He is a must-know name in the state’s sophomore class moving forward.

Currently a top-40 prospect in the state’s sophomore group, SS/ RHP Brett Tucker (Lemont, 2026) is a long, athletic 6-foot, 167-pound two-way standout from the event. Offensively from the right side, Tucker showed the ability to backspin and lift balls to the pull-side during his round of bp with a max exit velocity of 88.7 mph and a max distance of 308 feet. Tucker also had a max bat speed of 79.9 mph (avg. 75.4 mph) which was good for the third best mark of the event, and his hand speed metrics both at peak (27.3 mph) and average (26 mph) were both event highs. He hopped on the mound later on, touching 82.1 mph with his fastball while landing 66-69 mph curveball for strikes throughout his ‘pen.

INF Brett Tucker (Lemont, 2026) stood out at his first-ever PBR event and put himself on the map as a 2026 name to know. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitter has all kinds of projection in the frame and his right-handed swing. At the plate, he has whippy, quick hands, stays on top of the baseball, flat through the zone with above-average bat-to-ball skills while averaging 80.3 mph off the bat as a freshman.  Defensively, Tucker has the skillset to stick on the left-side of the diamond with active/fluid footwork, flashing rhythm and feel while playing through the baseball with soft hands and an arm that topped at 79 mph.

Defense: Active, fluid feet, steady hands with a clean transfer, plays with some feel and rhythm.

Tucker is built at lean 5-foot-10, 150-pounds with wiry strength. Started for Cangelosi Sparks on the mound Friday afternoon and twirled an impressive outing. Loose quick arm with above-average arm speed for age, threw from a high ¾ slot. Repeated a clean tall/fall type delivery with present rhythm, athletic downhill mover, downhill, maintained direction to target throughout. Attacked hitters with a lively fastball at 77-79 mph, T80 mph with life east-to-west. Regularly turned to curveball as a putaway pitch; 64-66 mph with depth off an 11/5 action and sharp downer spin. Athletic prospect to follow on the mound as his high school career begins.
