The Indiana recruit still holds a wiry-athletic, 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame, but looked to have added some strength to his thin frame. That strength showed up at the plate where the right-handed hitter showcased some gap-power. The load is fluid with the hands working into a power position as a leg kick stride allows him to gain momentum through impact. There is present bat speed with quick hands, and noticeable lag in the zone that allows for easy plate coverage. He is crisp on the infield with soft hands and quality glove-to-hand ability.

Junior Future Games: Cerny’s long-limbed, athletic, 6-foot, 150-pound frame is still developing, but his natural actions on the diamond stand out at a young age. The shortstop crisply and routinely fields ground balls with confidence, and his quick release and accuracy will give him a chance to stick at the position in the future. At the dish, the right-handed hitter has a direct path to the ball on a level plane with current line drive power that will increase with more strength in the future.
