Body Type: 5-foot-8, 180-pound uber physical prospect. Obvious weight room buy in here. Swing Mechanics: Vertical barrel launch with a simple, efficient lower half. Hit: Bat is top tool and for good reason as he has proven to be one of the top in game hitters in the state. Handsy hitter with a loose swing that generates authoritative whip through the zone. Impressive combination of barrel control and burst. Ball jumps well, showing easy gap pop and natural backspin. Power: 85 mph exit velocity. Gap abilities with emerging power. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Run: 7.07 60-yard dash. Field: Moved to third base looks to have paid off. Skill set plays better over there. Actions are fluid and hands are above average. Bat will keep him in a college lineup and you could see him at 3B or 2B. Throw: 82 mph arm strength across the infield. Defensive Projection: 3B/2B.
7/24/18
A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Simple load into a balanced launch. Obvious physicality through the zone on a level path. Just has a knack for squaring up the baseball with more than enough tools to do damage. Ball really jumps to pull side. Swing shows up in game and BP. Natural infielder that also worked out in the outfield. Infielder background shows up out there with impressive ball skills and quick transfer. Tossed it both bags with accuracy. For being new to the spot it was a very impressive showing out there. Second baseman type in the infield. Plays low and under control with a reliable glove. Not flashy but very capable defender.

Every time we see Alex he mashes. Sees the ball incredibly well, rarely leaving the zone. When he does pull the trigger he has a knack for finding the barrel and more than dynamic enough to damage when he connects. A bit limited in where he can play defensively likely ending up at second base or a corner spot in the outfield but his hit tool will attract D1 attention this summer.
Few improved their stock more over the weekend than Streitenberger. Stands out immediately among the rest with his physical, athletic frame. Plays a solid second base and brings a big hit tool to the table. A right-handed hitter who has an impressive ability to find the barrel, finding it in nearly every one of his bats. Strength and bat speed are advanced for his class. Ball jumps off his bat, generating routine gap pop and enough juice to leave the yard presently. On the mound he has a good tempo to a delivery he is able to repeat. Arm works well, generating above average arm speed. Fastball sat in the upper 70s, getting up to 81 mph. Also spins a sharp breaking ball with an 11/5 plane at 71-73 mph. Definite follow in 2020 class.
1/22/17
Continues to develop physically since the last time that we saw him. Obvious added muscle to his frame. Smooth rhythm to his delivery with quickness in his arm speed. Fastball touched up to 81 mph, mostly sitting at 79-80 mph with cutting action. Showed off a late breaking 12/6 curveball that he located for strikes. Also mixed in a 66-68 mph straight change. Tended to locate the pitch better from the stretch than the windup. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in an athletic stance. Smooth load with good use of a strong lower-half. Obvious quickness to his swing. Showed pop in his bat. Easily stands out amongst his peers. Top exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran an impressive 6.85 60-yard dash as well. In the field, the young infielder displayed good actions. He has a quick glove. Needs to quicken up his transfer. Shows above average arm strength for his age. Registered a top velocity of 77 mph.
6/28/16
5-foot-8, 145-pound average frame. The right handed pitcher throws through a high ¾ slot with short arm action. Uses a slower tempo with a delivery that doesn’t require much effort. The fastball sits between 70-72 mph that displays some sinking action in the zone. Also mixes in a 56-59 mph breaking ball that breaks with 12/6 tilt. Took an impressive round of batting practice with the ability to use the whole field. Creates energy into contact through a leg kick load and efficient weight transfer. His flat path allowed him to consistently find the barrel. Showed his batspeed by registering a very impressive exit velocity of 85 mph. In the infield he plays low and has above average glove skills. Tends to play from heels. Threw across the infield with 72 mph arm strength. Ran a 7.46, 60-yard dash.
3/19/16
Talented, 5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect. On the mound he has advanced abilities for his age. Using a well-paced tempo he has a delivery that requires minimal effort. Fastball sat 73-77 mph with some sink. Flashed a sharp, power curve with an 11/5 shape and solid depth. Changeup may have been his best pitch as he threw it near fastball armspeed with heavy run and sink. Stood out defensively as one of the top players at the event. Short arm action through ¾ slot. Quick exchange. Top velocity of 74 mph across the infield with good carry to his throws. Athletic feet and plays through the baseball. At the plate the right-hander relies on strength and batspeed at this point. Will need to add rhythm and more lower half as he matures. Has all the tools. Registered an exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee with more to come. Ran a 7.74 60-yard dash.
