Starts in a balanced stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a quick small stride. Has above average flashed bat speed, uphill swing plane and high finish. He found lots of barrels in his round. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, his strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 80 mph. Behind the plate, his strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 80 mph; displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.93-1.99. Clocked a 60 time of 7.01 at the event.

Hunter Jones: C/SS, (2024) Convoy Crestview, OH. 6-foot-1, 160-pound athletic projectable build. (65.4 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Began in an open stance with an active load, then used a controlled leg kick. Had a simple rotational swing plane, quick efficient bat speed and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, he made strong throws to second and produced an efficient position velocity of 79 mph; had quick consistent footwork, a clean transfer, and sure hands. displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.90-1.99 pop time. Tons of flexibility and flexible setup. Used athletic slot and a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a time of 7.2 in the 60-yard dash.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Begins in a quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Had efficient bat speed, loose level swing plane and balanced finish. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 74 mph; has a natural transfer, firm hands, and consistent feet. displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.96-2.03 pop time. Some flexibility and clean setup. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.85.

Hunter Jones: C/SS, (2024) Convoy Crestview, OH. 6-foot-1, 155-pound projectable frame. Solid at the plate, Jones clocked an exit velocity of 79 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Had above average bat speed and a rotational swing plane. Pull side approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph; shows sure hands, and consistent rhythmic feet. While catching, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 72 mph; has a clean fluid exchange, sure hands, and athletic feet. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.97-2.06 pop time. Showed a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag.

Hunter Jones: C/SS, (2024) Convoy Crestview, OH. 6-foot, 145-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Jones clocked an exit velocity of 81 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a leg kick. Had a level swing plane and average bat speed. Athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph; has soft hands, athletic developing feet, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were twitchy and fielded the ball out front. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph; had a clean exchange, athletic consistent footwork, and soft hands. Recorded a pop time of 2.08-2.21. Athletic setup with above average flexibility. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.56. On the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Shows some effort in his delivery. Athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 74-77 mph; showed running action and arm side command. Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (66-68). His changeup (65-66) shows fading action and arm side control. Showed a 11/5 slider (70-71) with plus action.

2/17/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: Tall athletic build that throws out of the high ¾ arm slot. Does a good job at working down-hill engaging his lower half. Fastball: True through the zone with little to no movement at 73mph. Curveball: Sharp 12/6 break with above average depth. Inconsistent with accuracy. Changeup: Struggles with locating, but shows solid depth/arm side fade. 2/17/20 Position Player Hit: Right hander that starts out in a balanced setup. Incorporates a high leg kick loading mechanism. Slightly uphill bat path creating some natural loft. Power: Contact type guy at this point. Offensive Projection: Table Setter. Field: Behind the plate he shows average footwork. Developing arm strength with decent catch and throw skill set. From SS, he plays through the ball with a low center of gravity. Throw: loose arm with developing strength from a ¾ arm slot. Defensive Projection: C/SS.

Body Type: 5-foot-8, 120-pounds with lengthy build and plenty of room to fill

Hit: The RHH starts with a toe tap timing in his load. Has athletic movements in his swing and hands are fluid. Has decent weight transitions as he gains ground on swing. Favors pull side with hard groundball/line drive production

Power: Has some line drive production consistency and some pop in swing

Offensive Projections: Back half of order (64 exit velocity)

Run: 8.56 (60-yard dash)

Field: Behind the plate, he starts sideways and high. Has average footwork as he uses a hop in his step during his transfers. Has developing arm strength and throws were accurate. From SS, he stays squared to the ball and stays low. He has a loose arm with decent arm strength. Has some softness in his hands with average footwork.

Defensive Projection: SS/C

A second baseman type in the infield. Hands are soft and glove is reliable. Attacks the ball off the bat using direct, linear footwork. Behind the dish he starts in an athletic stance prior to  getting out of his crouch using smooth footwork. Tends to float towards third base line during exchange. Should see improvements in pop times as physical maturation takes its course. At the plate he stars in a balanced setup with his bat vertical. Shows a slight back load with hands during his short stride for timing. Launches from a balanced position and takes a slightly downhill path to contact. Swing is compact with developing natural tools through the zone. A contact type hitter at this stage with more to come.
