Physical: Chiseled, athletic 6-foot, 215lb build. 6.79 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Spread out, upright stance, as the barrel rests idle on the shoulder. Utilized a quick toe-tap stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path that matches plane early in ball flight. Sweeping angle at times, but consistently gets the sweet-spot extended for a T101 mph exit velocity via Trackman. Added a 373 foot distance during an extra-base hit approach towards the LCF part of the field. Drove one no-doubter over the scoreboard.
Defensively: The primary outfielder featured clean reads off the bat with a lower posture at the start. Moderate tempo while working from behind, fielding off his left, and carrying an 86 mph arm-strength on throws to the plate. Will handle a corner role in the future.
6/12/22
Physical: Stocky 5-foot-11, 220lb frame with power profile; 6.64 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wide, calm stance, as the hands start pre-set above the shoulder. Utilized a toe-tap stride and matched plane immediately with feel for the launch, slightly uphill path and professional finish on the backside. Efficient weight transfer that lost a few balls into the 360+ foot range to LCF. Produced a T101 mph bat-exit velocity, raw strength is real; then found multiple hard barrels in game action with ability to go backside for extra bases. Fights with two strikes.
Defensively: The primary outfielder displayed range to either side and a trusted glove hand that played low to the ground. Clean, repeated arm action that translates with above-average pace, 83 mph arm strength.
6/15/21
Physical: Strong/athletic 5-foot-10, 200lb frame with powerful wrists. 7.06 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Started from a balanced, upright stance at shoulder-width as the barrel rested flat to begin. Utilized a leg-kick on-time with a barrel raise/tip straight up and down in order to initiate through a high intent, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Good usage of ground PWR throughout the swing, gaining strong/leveraged positions at the front of the plate for impact. Mostly pull-side approach, lifting the ball with consistency to the LCF gap en route to a 50% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Worked his way up to a T92 mph bat-exit velocity, finding easy doubles juice when pitched out over the plate (324 foot batted ball distance).
Defensively: The outfielder demonstrated a wide base to start, playing behind the baseball with down chest angles to gain momentum after fielding. Corralled softly off his left side using a trusted glove hand, exchanging to the waist line and gaining length on the backside through a shorter, H ¾ slot (82 mph arm strength, accurate). Will hold down a corner OF position moving forward.
7/30/20
Physical: Showcased a physically advanced, 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame with legitimate strength in the lower half. 6.93 runner in the 60-yard dash flashing the athleticism he possesses. Offensively: RHH. Crouched, wide open stance with the hands showing minor rhythm as the barrel points downward over the backside. Utilized a leg kick stride to initiate a slightly uphill, explosive barrel path through the hitting zone. Generated lots of power and unleashed it at the front of the plate with a short time to contact, exploded on the ball thrown middle in with an advanced feel for the lower half throughout the swing, held posture well and stayed behind the baseball with regularity. The hands could release early at times causing slight pull off, but generally stayed through the LCF gap during batting practice. Impressive measurables during his round with a top bat-exit velocity of 93 mph according to Trackman Baseball. Defensively: The primary outfielder featured short and active footwork playing downhill through the baseball with consistency at the fielding window. Fielded off of the left side on the approach and could go and get it in the air with quality straight line foot speed (6.96 runner in the 60-yard dash). Demonstrated CF qualities at times but will most likely position himself at a corner spot with the power bat leading the way. Accurate, high ¾ slot with some zip on it towards the target. OF - 82 mph
6/29/20
Physical: 5-foot-9, 175 pounds; strong, sturdy frame. 6.89 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Open wide stance with bat waggle; short take back of hands with exaggerated knee to knee stride. Aggressive lower half with stays in the zone with some lift. Aggressive swing with flyballs to pull side; peak Trackman exit velocity of 95 MPH. Defensively: Upright; active aggressive approach. Clean transfer; over the top arm slot. 2.27-2.30 pop times. C - 73 MPH. OF - 81 MPH.
2/08/20
5-foot-9, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg-lift stride to begin. Showcased an explosive lower half, gets on plane early, and displayed current pop that is advanced for a player his age. Registered a bat exit velocity of 88 mph and ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Showcased capable defensive actions in the outfield with current 79 mph arm strength. Actions are still raw, but strength in all facets is very advanced. Definite player to follow in this class.
