The Skinny:
The 6-foot, 200-pounder continues Illinois’ tradition of producing top-level catching prospects. As a sophomore on one of the top teams in Illinois, Greenfield was a middle-of-the-order bat while playing a rock-solid defense. Physically developed, he has wide shoulders, a strong lower half and sturdy build. He hits from a wide base and open set-up, utilizing his legs well in his swing, which is short and compact with natural power. He has advanced catch-and-throw skills with a short, quick, arm action and throws with accuracy. Ranked No. 2 in Illinois, Greenfield is one of the most coveted catching prospects in the Midwest.

Scouting Report:
6-foot, 200-pound right-handed hitting catcher ranked No. 10 in Illinois, wide shoulders, strong lower half, sturdy build. Hits from a wide base, open setup, utilizes legs well in swing, short, compact, slighltup uphill path, top hand comes off bat in follow through, singled on a chopped ball in front of home plate, also doubled over the centerfielder’s head on a line shot. Advanced catch and throw skills, short, quick, high ¾ arm slot, 2.04 to second in between innings, also popped 1.96 in game on a double steal (second baseman came up in front of the bag to cut off throw.

This one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted Class of 2017 prospects from our 20-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on July 30 - Aug 1 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN, just north of Indianapolis. The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2017 prospects and select 2018 prospects. Last year, more than 110 colleges from all over the country were in attendance.
