Future Games Spotlight: RHP Erik Kaiser

Name: Erik Kaiser

Graduating Class: 2017

Position: RHP/3B

School: Waterloo

Height: 6-4

Weight: 190

Rank:
State: 10
Overall: 49

The Skinny:
At 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, Kaiser is a highly projectable two-way prospect who looks to be one of the top prospects in Illinois’ 2017 class. The right-handed pitcher features upper-80s velocity on the mound, athletic and loose, with reports of more. Certainly there is more in the tank. While he will likely be recruited as a pitcher, Kaiser is a switch-hitting third baseman who batted in the middle of the lineup for Waterloo as a sophomore.

Scouting Report:

6-foot-4, 185-pound frame, young for his age, still isn't close to filling into frame. Two-way talent, though ranked primarily for his arm on the mound. Did not pitch in the game, but showed off arm in a few plays at third base. Switch-hitter, bats cleanup for high school team. Finished 1-for-4 with a single and run scored. (Report from high school game in spring)
