Holiday Showcase: Class of 2024 Analysis

The 2019 Holiday Showcase took place on December 28th at Keystone State Baseball Academy giving our staff an final look at 30 prospects from threes states before the curtain closes on 2019. Today we begin a series of articles analyzing the prospects in attendance with a look at those players that participated from the Class of 2024.

Class of 2024

Wiley Fleck, Emmaus HS, RHP/OF
5-foot-4, 110-pound primary pitcher sat 65-67 froma  high 3/4 arm slot with a repeatable delivery. Also showcased a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 56-57 and a changeup at 59-60. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a heel raise stride. Swing is balanced and hands work well through contact with a line drive approach. Registered a 70 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Played through the baseball routinely from the outfield with developing 65 mph arm strength.

Nathaniel Fronheiser, Brandywine Heights HS, RHP/3B
5-foot-5, 130-pound primary pitcher sat 64-66 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short takeaway and repeatable mechanics. Also displayed a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 53-56 and a changeup at 53-54. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Showcased a line drive approach with a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 67 mph and ran an 8.06 60-yard dash. Showed developing defensive skills at third base with accurate 63 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Noah Hogan, Emmaus HS, LHP/OF
5-foot-7, 115-pound primary pitcher sat 65-66 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with an easy, loose delivery. Also commanded a curveball with 1/7 rotation at 57-58 and a changeup with cut action at 59-61. The left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Hands work well through contact with solid feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 70 mph and ran a 8.15 60-yard dash. Played through the baseball routinely defensively with accurate 67 mph arm strength from the outfield.

Daniel Qualteria, Quakertown Community HS, SS
5-foot-2, 125-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a short, leg-hang stride. Displayed above average balance with solid feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 70 mph and ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Showcased developing defensive skills with accurate 61 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Cohen Schadler, Emmaus HS, 2B
5-foot-1, 105-pound switch-hitter displayed similar swings from both sides of the plate starting from an open stance and initiating his swing with a toe tap stride. Showcased a direct swing path with a line drive approach. Registered a bat exit velocity of 68 mph and ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Showed sound fielding fundamentals with developing 54 mph arm strength. Overall game will continue to improve through strength gains and physical maturity.
