Andrew Dawson is a high follow 2026 MIF from Tremont. Offensively, Dawson is a strong handed RHH who has a polished approach through the middle of the field. Dawson showed clean actions up the middle at SS as well taking hits away. He also provided an intriguing look on the mound, working his fastball up to 87 mph while cruising in the mid-80s. To pair off the fastball he went to a slider around 76-78 mph, thrown with intent and with sharp 10/4 shape.

Didn’t get the results he wanted but still showed well. Controlled delivery with a high leg lift, drop and drive delivery down the mound. Clean, quick arm path out of a ¾ slow, quickness out front. Fastball sat 84-87 mph, topped out at 89 mph with mostly straight actions. Utilized his cutter most of the time, which sat 79-82 mph with slight cutting action, also mixed in a curveball that sat 74-78 mph with short break. A must-know arm in the state’s sophomore class.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, strong lower-half with room still left to add on strength. Controlled tempo on the mound, drop/drive lower-half that works in-line. Medium arm circle out of the glove, transitions into a high ¾ slot. Dawson cruised with his fastball in the 83-86 mph range, topping out at 86.8 mph with an average IVB of 15.4 (T17.8). Showed feel to spin both his breaking balls, a 10/4 71 slider at 73-78 mph (2100-2300 RPM) and an 11/5 curveball at 71 mph. Flashed a fading changeup at 75-76 mph. Finished his outing with three innings pitched, no hits, no runs allowed, one walk and two strikeouts.
