A premier prospect in the Midwest’s 2026 class that made the trip to Rantoul: CIF/OF TJ McQuillan (Mt. Carmel, 2026; Louisville commit). McQuillan’s sheer physicality rivals that of anyone in the state, regardless of age, and the 6-foot-1, 210-pound left-handed slugger showed noticeable raw power in BP. McQuillan’s firmest ball jumped off his ball at 100.5 mph, averaging 92.7 mph per batted ball, and he did so while routinely elevating the baseball (330 ft. avg), swatting his furthest an estimated 392 feet, per TrackMan. On top of that, McQuillan ran a 7.01 60-yard dash and was 83 mph across the infield.

3B/OF TJ McQuillan (Mount Carmel, 2026) is an alumni of the PBR Junior Future Games and one of the top bats in the 2026 class. Heading into the event, the Louisville commit was coming off an impressive freshman spring where he slashed .327/.425/.551 with five home runs, nine XBHs, and 28 RBI. At the plate he continues to show big bat speed and power with the quickest bat speed at the event on average (78.7 mph). He also consistently barreled the baseball to the pull-side with power, recording a max exit velocity of 98.4 mph, an average exit velocity of 94.2 mph, and a max distance of 377 feet. He also ran a 7.13 60 time, above-average for his age and frame. McQuillan continues to solidify himself as a name to know in the Midwest.

T.J. McQuillan (Mount Carmel), a 6-foot-1, 210-pound, CIF/COF prospect committed to Louisville shortly following his appearance at the Junior Future Games for Team Illinois this past July and he continues to prove that he is one of the top left-handed bats in the class at the All-State event. McQuillan took one of the more mature rounds we have seen from him to-date, staying balanced and within himself creating advanced bat strength and bat speed with minimal effort. McQuillan seemed intent on showing his all-field power potential instead of cheating and looking to pull everything with authority to the pull-side. McQuillan registered a T102.6 exit velocity, 95 mph average to go along with a 339’ max batted ball (has been 351’ in the past).
