Pennsylvania Class of 2022 Rankings Update

Following an extremely busy winter with our staff having an opportunity to see close to 700 prospects across the state an update to the Pennsylvania Class of 2022 rankings includes the addition of 5 new players to the list. The total now stands at 15 and will grow rapidly to between 250 and 300 by the time this class graduates in a little over three years. Look for an update to the PBR overall rankings for this class to be released in the coming weeks.

+ Of the five additions to the rankings in this update four stood out at the Preseason All-State Showcase. 1B Maddix Dalena (Montoursville) and OF Ryan Davis (Malvern Prep), a pair of left-handed hitters with present gap power, impressed on day one of the event.

+ LHP Chase Kriebel (Clarion Area) and OF Caleb Sturtevant (Cocalico) made names for themselves on day two of the same event. The pair were also teammates last August when they had an opportunity to play for Team Pennsylvania in the 2018 PBR Junior Future Games at the 14U age level. Sturtevant was equally impressive just two weeks later when he participated at the Keystone State Bombers Scout Day.

+ OF/RHP Maxwell McGrady (Central Bucks East) showcased an advanced left-handed swing and potential as a two-way prospect while topping at 86 mph on the mound at the Bucks County Generals Scout Day in early February.
