We continued our summer tournament circuit this past weekend with the 16U PBR at The Rock Summer Championship. This event gave our scouting staff an in depth look at some of the up-and-coming prospects from the state, as well as a couple surrounding states. Read on below to see which players stood out to our scouting staff from the event. 

 

THURSDAY 

CHICAGO BRUINS

OF Dennis Bond (Fremd, 2025)
Standing at an athletic and projectable 5-foot-9, 150-pounds, Bond led the way offensively for the Bruins on Thursday. His quick hands and uphill left-handed stroke helped produce quality contact each time he stepped to the plate. He went 3-for-4 with a double, two singles and a run scored.

EXTREME ELITE NATIONAL 

LHP Tristan Lance (Edwardsville, 2025)
Lance dominated in his start on Thursday against P2P Millers, throwing a complete game shutout and allowing just one hit with 11 strikeouts. Pitched very efficiently throughout, hitting his spots and needing only 75 pitches to work through six innings. Fastball 78-80 mph with a looping curveball that was thrown for strikes consistently at 66-67 mph. Also mixed in a changeup at 74 mph.

3B Carter Harrington (Collinsville, 2025)
Harrington hosts a projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds with plenty of room for physical maturity. He showed well on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base. After lacing a double to the left-center gap in his first at-bat, he found the barrel again and legged out a triple.

GRB STIKS HYBRID

OF Drew Dobberstein (Pewaukee, 2025) 
Standing at an athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, Dobberstein got off to a hot start from the leadoff spot for GRB Stiks Hybrid, going 2-for-3 with a double in the first game of the weekend. Presents a quick swing from the right side of the plate, displaying a natural feel for the barrel, which includes pull-side strength. Dobberstein’s performance reflects his success during the high school season for a Pewaukee team that made numerous appearances in the WIAA Power 25.

1B Rocco Conrad (New Berlin West, 2025) 
Conrad recently finished as a winner of the Milwaukee Open, and followed that up with a successful start to the tournament. Standing at a physical 6-foot-3, 216-pounds, Conrad generated power through his lower half to drive the baseball, barreling up pitches in multiple at bats. Sent two base hits up the middle on Thursday, contributing to a 6-3 win for GRB Stiks Hybrid.

INF Daniel Kibler (New Berlin West, 2025) 
Kibler, presenting himself at a strong 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame, clutched up and drove in two runs for his team, guiding them to a victory to begin tournament play. Featured a quick and compact swing, showcasing fast hands and an opposite field approach to help him succeed. Showed well during the winter and spring, carrying his momentum into the summer on the offensive end of the ball.

HOUNDS BASEBALL

OF Brady Schallmoser (Downers Grove North, 2025)
6-foot, 180-pound frame with room for added strength. Schallmoser was all over the barrel on Thursday morning, going 2-for-4 with a double. Smooth left-handed hitter that flashed easy power the other way. Advanced feel for the barrel, recording multiple hard-outs. Also showed solid reads while roaming the outfield.

Illinois Stoppers - elite 2025

RHP Peter Mulhern (Palatine, 2025)
Mulhern showcased advanced pitchability in a dominant showing on the mound. Downhill mover on the mound with a balanced delivery and clean arm-action. Fastball sat in the low-80s, T84 mph with ride through the zone. Confident in a low-70s curveball that was thrown in all counts and got swings and misses low in the zone. Also flashed feel for a changeup in the upper-70s with slight fade to catch hitters out in front. Allowed just one hit in his four-inning start, while also tallying six strikeouts.

OF Bennett Burke (IMG Academy, 2025)
Athletic 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame with a thick lower half. Burke gave an interesting look on Thursday morning, showcasing advanced defensive actions in the outfield. Twitchy athlete that made a number of impressive catches while manning centerfield. At the plate, flashed feel for the barrel using a pull-side approach and quick hands.

OF Hunter VaDeer (Lyle, 2025) 
VaDeer entered the weekend as one of the top uncommitted prospects within the state of Minnesota. The right-hander stands at 6-foot-1, 200-pounds, utilizing his natural strength on the offensive end to produce at a high level for the Macstrength Grizzlies. VaDeer, who will represent Team Midwest at the 2023 PBR Future Games in just under a week, showcased a whippy barrel that earned two hits in a victory, inserting himself as a future middle-of-the-order bat.

RHP Logan Campbell (Lakeville North, 2025)
Campbell got up on the mound in the first game of the weekend, and dominated his start to get the win. With his 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame, Campbell’s cross-fire motion allowed him to reach 86 mph multiple times, ranging in the mid-80s throughout his start. The No. 47 ranked prospect in Minnesota complemented that pitch with a 2,500 RPM slider, both thrown for strikes and used as an out-pitch in his outing. Campbell’s stock continues to rise as an uncommitted prospect, as he struck out 10 batters and allowed zero hits, all in five innings of work. On the offensive end, Campbell manned the cleanup spot as well, earning a hit and showcasing his versatility as a two-way athlete.

Jaeger Solis (Prior Lake, 2025) 
Solis presents himself at an athletic 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame, where he went 2-for-3 on the day from the left side of the plate. The left-handed hitter doubled and tripled, showcasing his easy power and speed around the bases, driving in two runs and scoring once. Solis inserted his bat at the top of the order for a strong Macstrength Grizzlies team, following up his 89.8 max exit velocity performance from the PBR Minnesota Underclass Prospect Games in late June.


TOP TIER SOUTH - STANFORD

LHP Colin Pfiefer (Morris, 2025)
Pfeifer gave an intriguing look during his start on Thursday evening. Left-handed pitcher that moves well on the mound with an easy delivery. Fastball sat in the high-70s and flashed late life. Played off of the fastball with a sharp slider that froze hitters and earned some. Swings-and-misses. An arm to follow as he continues to add strength. 

MIF Ximi Bafitri (Morris, 2025)
Bafitri showed off his defensive prowess on Thursday, making multiple impressive plays. Moves well to both sides with a smooth glove-to-hand transfer. Feet work well and the arm works athletically. Also showed the ability to throw across from multiple arm slots. Offensively, Bafitri flashed a high offensive ceiling. Short and simple swing that made hard contact multiple times using an all-fields approach. A sure-handed defender up the middle who will be exciting to watch as he develops offensively.

RHP Merek Klicker (Morris, 2025)
Klicker previously showed well at the Top Tier Scout day, and was impressive in our staff's first in-game look at him. Projectable 6-foot-2, 150-pound frame. Fastball played in the low-to-mid 80s, T85 mph. Displayed advanced feel for spin, T2500 RPM on the fastball. Curveball worked in the low 70s and flashed out-pitch potential. An arm to watch as he still has plenty of room for added muscle with an already impressive repertoire.

White sox elite 16u black

RHP Bobby Eidell (IMG Academy, 2025)
Listed at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds with strength in his lower half. Eidell showed well in his start Thursday against PTA White. The righty had command of the zone, sitting 80-83 T84 on his fastball with arm-side run while mixing in a sharp curveball in the low- 70s that was thrown consistently for strikes. Eidell threw three innings and allowed one run on no hits with six strikeouts.

MIF Josh Fleming (York, 2025)
Fleming emerged as one of the top hitters in the ‘25 class this past spring as he was named to the PBR Illinois second team All-State. Easy swing with strength in the hands, Advanced bat-speed at the plate with feel for the zone. Aggressive approach, swinging with intent early in the count. Went 2-for-3 on Thursday night with a deep triple to centerfield. Defensively, flashed an advanced glove while making some impressive plays in which he had to range to his right. Also made a couple diving plays with above-average arm strength.

FRIDAY

ATHLETES HQ - FUSCONE

DH/C AJ Foley (Lake Zurich, 2025) 
Foley entered the tournament as an intriguing bat to follow, and showed well throughout the day on Friday for Athletes HQ. His performance was highlighted by a triple down the right field line. Standing at 6-foot-1, 195-pounds, Foley utilized an opposite field approach in this one, allowing the ball to travel as he squared it up for both of his hits, including the aforementioned triple. Despite not catching, Foley has previously showcased a live arm and quick feet behind the plate, ranging his pop times between 2.01-2.12 seconds at the McHenry Preseason ID. The incoming junior will be in attendance for the Illinois State Games between August 8th-9th. 


BENNIEBOYS

INF Gavin Wesling (Clinton, 2025) 
The BennieBoys exploded for 24 runs on Friday in a run-rule victory, and Wesling was in the middle of all of that action. Wesling stands at a long and projectable 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame, and manned the cleanup spot for his team, producing at a high rate. The right-handed batter was 2-for-2, scoring three times, driving in four runs, and tripling to cap off his performance. In a game where the BennieBoys walked 15 times, Wesling was able to be the producer with the bat, giving them their first win of the weekend. 


BREW STATE BASEBALL ACADEMY

RHP Jayden Forbes (Menomonee Falls, 2025)
6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Forbes shined on the mound Friday night picking up eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched while only allowing one run. Forbes worked through a high ¾ slot with a short, clean arm action with effort. Pitched out of the stretch, high leg lift, lands towards the left-handed batter’s box, tall and fall approach. Heavy usage of the fastball which sat in the low 80s, topping out at 83 mph with arm-side run, being very effective in the top of the zone. A name to keep an eye on in the Spring.


CANES BASEBALL GREAT LAKES 2025 GOLD

RHP/OF Kyler Kaczmarski (Penn, 2025)
Lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 155-pound frame with plenty of room to add mass. Kaczmarski impressed in a brief and upside look on Friday. He's an athletic mover down the mound with a quick arm action. Fastball jumped out of the hand, sitting in the low-to-mid 80s.

CANGELOSI SPARKS NORTH - WHITE

OF Noah Delgado (Glenbrook North, 2025) 
6-foot, 185-pounds. Broad, round shoulders with some strength throughout.Delgado had the moment of the game on Friday for his team in a 5-2 victory over the Macstrength Grizzlies, where he hit a three-run inside-the-park home run to extend Cangelosi Sparks North - White’s lead late in the game. Presents a smooth swing from the left side of the plate, featuring quiet hands and the ability to lift the baseball, a trait that stood out as he barreled to centerfield. 

CBT 16U

RHP Zander Leick (Kaukauna High, 2025)
Leick hosts  a lean and lanky frame with tons of room to build muscle. The delivery is simple and efficient as he strides towards the plate with a long step. Long, ¾ arm slot. Ball comes out of the hand in an effortless manner. Fastball has advanced carry at 80-82 mph and worked well at the top of the zone. Curveball had quality depth in the low-70s and was deceptive.


FORCEOUT BASEBALL

RHP Cody Ashburn (Union Grove, 2025)
Ashburn showed an upside look in his start on Friday. 6-foot, 155-pound frame with long levers and plenty of room for continued physical maturity. He's able to control his size and moves down the mound well. Fastball worked in the upper-70’s with finish through the zone. Performed well against a talented lineup. Final line: 7IP, 2H, 0ER, and 8Ks.


GRB STIKS WHITE

RHP/INF Graiden Liethen (Arrowhead, 2025)
Sturdy and athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 165-pounds. Liethen played the roll of run producer for STiKs in a slaughter-rule victory. He was all over the barrel on Friday evening, going 2-for-3 including a home run to deep centerfield. Liethen finished with four RBI on the evening.

INF Jack Drange (Hill-Murray, 2025)
6-foot-3, 195-pound proportionate and tall frame. Hands move freely and are short to the ball at the plate. Barrel stays on-plane through the ball, with advanced bat-to-ball skills. Drove multiple balls to both sides of the field in Friday's early morning slate. Nothing but the same in his morning performance on Saturday. Drove a line drive to RCF with backspin. Also made an impressive play at third to get an out on a hard hit line drive. Final Line: 2-for-3, RBI, 2 R.

CF Luke Goldsworthy (East Ridge, 2025)
6-foot-2, 158-pound frame. Goldsworthy shined Friday morning picking a couple hits and coming around for two runs. Goldsworthy has a bent lower half with an upright torso while keeping his hands up. Short stride and makes sure to keep his hands in. Goldsworthy utilizes his hands to get to a hold of pitches at the top of the zone where he was able to be dangerous. Final Line: 2-for-3, RBI, 2B, 2 R, BB.


STRIKES BASEBALL CLUB

RHP Xavier Crowder (Mount Carmel, 2025)
Crowder provided a brief but ultra-impressive look during Friday’s action. Built at an athletic 5-foot-11, 180-pounds, Crowder is a powerful mover on the bump and pairs it with a fast arm that created some of the top velocities of the entire weekend. During his two-innings of relief, Crowder ran his fastball all the way up to 90 mph and sat in the 86-89 mph throughout. He also showed feel for an advanced breaking ball that played with sharp 11/5 action, and spun upwards of 3,000+ RPM. He would finish his quick outing with four strikeouts en route to a dominant win for Strikes Baseball. Followed up later in the weekend with two home runs at the plate.

INF Brady Green (Oak Park-River Forest, 2025)
Listed at an athletic and strong 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Green was all over the barrel throughout the weekend for Strikes Baseball. Friday was the epitome of how Green’s weekend went as he tallied two hits, which included a deep double to left-center field to help Strikes to a win. Not only did his strong right-handed bat impress but his glove on the infield was arguably even more noteworthy. Manning the shortstop position the entire weekend, Green plays the position with bounce and athleticism, pairing it with sure-handedness that made a number of tough plays on the weekend.

2B Aadden Guerrero (St. Laurence, 2025)
5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Athletic build with room to grow. Guerrero was able to pick up a couple hits on Friday, helping his team come from behind and pick a win. Guerrero showcased advanced bat-to-ball skills to go along with his gap-to-gap approach. Guerrero also showed to be an advanced defender up the middle, flashing his range.

1B Wayne Seelhammer (Simley, 2025)
Physical presence in the left-handed batter's box at 6-foot-5, 245-pound with a filled out frame. His size and strength generates easy power and bat speed. His control of the barrel is evident as well, showing the ability to back spin the baseball. Drove a double to deep RCF in Friday's late afternoon slate.

Illinois Lightning

RHP Jackson Murphy (Wauconda, 2025)
Murphy gave an intriguing look in front of our staff on Friday morning. Strong 6-foot, 185-pound frame that moves well on the mound. Clean, short arm action with acceleration out front. Mostly relied on a low-80s fastball that topped 82 mph and got swings and misses up in the zone. Flashed out-pitch potential with a low-70s curveball that forced weak contact.

RHP Michael Pasquesi (Highland Park, 2024)
Pasquesi showed why he is among the top uncommitted RHP in the state’s ‘24 class. Athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame that moves well on the mound. Clean operation on the mound with a balanced delivery and fluid arm-action. Fastball played 82-85, T86 mph with finish to get in-zone swings and misses. Threw a low-70s curveball with conviction to keep hitters guessing. Finished with 13Ks in a CG shutout.

3B Jake Osentoski (Menasha, 2025)
6-foot, 170-pound frame. Osentoski picked up a three hit day on Friday. Showcased advanced bat-to-ball abilities and able to spray the ball to any part of the field. Quick hands helped reach down to the bottom of the zone.

OF Zachary Grossman (Evangel Christian, 2025)
5-foot-11, 175-pound frame. Grossman shined on Friday picking up three runs batted in on a couple hits including a double. Grossman was able to drive the ball up the middle thanks to his long, powerful swing. Was able to be dangerous in any area of the zone.

MACSTRENGTH GRIZZLIES 2025

RHP Hunter VaDeer (Lyle, 2025) 
VaDeer, who was mentioned previously within this piece, got up on the mound on Friday morning and dominated his start. The right-hander featured an electric fastball to start the morning, sitting 85-87 mph throughout. He complimented that pitch with a slider and curveball combination that kept hitters off balance, spinning tight breaking balls to earn swings and misses. Despite struggling with command at times, VaDeer recovered and struck out seven batters in 4.2 innings pitched.

LHP Ben Verges (Franklin, 2025)
6-foot-3, 225-pound muscular build with noticeable strength in the lower half. Physical presence on the rubber with a long stride to home plate. Long, ¾ arm slot. Fastball was 80-84 mph with above average carry. Slider kept hitters guessing at 70-73 mph. Commanded the zone well, keeping the ball down leading to ground balls when he was not collecting strikeouts. Also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple and three RBIs. Final Line: 5.2 IP 12 K 2 BB 3 H 0 R.

2B Braylan Bigler (Brookfield Central, 2025)
Compact and agile frame. Slotted at No. 1 for his position in the class and No. 73 in the state. Short swing that is quick to the ball. Stride is short and efficient. Hit multiple doubles to the opposite side of the field throughout the day. A definite right-handed bat to keep an eye on as he starts his junior campaign.

3B Carter Schiek (Franklin, 2025)
Muscular 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitter. Gets the barrel on the ball efficiently. It is an athletic and simple swing. Schiek recorded two hits in Friday's late-afternoon contest, highlighted by his hard-hit double in the fourth Inning. Moves with ease on the basepaths.


PTA MARCHESE

MIF Sam Hirthe (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2025)
Hirthe impressed during the nightcap on Friday. Wiry 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. Athletic left-handed hitter with a loose bat that covers the plate well. Natural hitter with feel to hit the ball to all-fields. Also an above average defender up the middle, showcasing confident actions and an athletic arm-action. A prospect to keep on your radar after a strong all-around showing this weekend.

Carter Hollenback (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2025)
Hollenback was all over the barrel out of the lead-off spot on Friday. Went 2-for-3 including a home run using a pull-side approach. Flashed power potential in a lean 5-foot-5, 150-pound frame. Quality defender in the outfield, making a couple accurate reads.

RHP Jaxson Tresenriter (Dunlap, 2025)
6-foot, 150-pound frame. Athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Currently ranked No. 59 in Illinois’ 2025 class. Tresenriter flashed Friday morning, striking out seven through four innings. Threw with a low ¾ slot with long, loose, clean arm action with slight effort. Has a drop and drive approach, high leg lift, lands towards home. Fastball sat 84-85 mph with arm-side run, better command arm side. Mixed in a sharp CB with 11/5 action sitting 68-70 mph while running the spin rate between 2400-2500 RPM.

Christian Ferrari (Dunlap, 2025)
6-foot, 190-pound frame. Ferrari was barreling balls Friday morning, finishing the day going 4-for-5 with two doubles and three runs batted in during the double-header. Ferrari has an upright stance with a slight bend in his lower half, hands stay in between chest and shoulders. Quality barrel control is what made him stand out Friday morning.

Stars Baseball

C Turner Kuhnke (Hortonville, 2025)
Currently slotted as a top-50 prospect in the state’s ‘25 class, Kuhnke continued to show well in front of our staff throughout the summer circuit. Kuhnke showed off his defensive prowess by throwing out multiple runners throughout the weekend. Also a fluid receiver that regularly steals strikes for his pitchers. At the plate, Kuhnke is an aggressive hitter with a simple swing that generates bat speed. Quality feel for the barrel and showed he can hit to all fields with an opposite-field double on Friday morning. A high-level uncommitted prospect to keep on your radar as a to-be junior.

Top Tier Navy

RHP Jacob Gross (LaSalle-Peru, 2025)
6-foot-1, 165 pound frame. Gross shined on both sides of the game as he finished the game recording a triple and also finished the game on mound. Gross sat 78-81 mph on the mound while topping at 83 mph and mixed in a low 70s slider.


TOP TIER NORTH

MIF Tyler Trapp (Lane Tech, 2025)
The 2021 Junior Future Games alum flashed his power potential with a home-run on Friday afternoon. Upside frame standing at 5-foot-11, 167-pounds. Simple swing with a slow load and explosive bat. Quick runner out of the box. Also displayed quality defensive actions playing up the middle.

White Sox Elite 16U Black 2025

OF Austin Castaneda (Rock Falls, 2025)
5-foot-9, 160-pound frame. Castaneda impressed on Friday, picking up a couple hits to help lead his team to a win. Castaneda has a long stride and utilizes the upper half for power as he was able to be dangerous in the upper half of the zone, thanks to his great hand speed. Castaneda was able to keep his barrel in the zone for an extended amount of time in order to be efficient in his gap-to-gap approach. 

WINDY CITY

OF/1B Paul Southern (Montini Catholic, 2025)
6-foot-1 175-pound left-handed hitter that impressed at the plate Friday afternoon. The cleanup hitter drove a fly ball over the centerfield wall driving in two runs with one swing. Later in the game, Southern barrelled another ball to the right fielder for a sacrifice fly. Ended the day 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run. Southern has a simple swing with a small leg kick using his size to his advantage making him have a quick swing and brings the barrel straight to the ball with strong extension after contact. 

MIDWEST HALOS SCOUT

RHP Ben Mills (Oak Creek, 2025)
Mills cruised in his start on Friday against the New Berlin Nationals. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound projectable frame finished his complete game outing allowing no runs on three hits with an impressive 17 strikeouts. Commanded the zone throughout. Straight fastball at 77-78 mph with a sharp curveball that was thrown consistently for strikes at 65-66 mph. Also mixed in a changeup at 69-72 mph.

SATURDAY

Chicago Bruins

OF Dennis Bond (Fremd, 2025)
5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Athletic build with room to grow. Bond hit a couple of singles Saturday and also came around for a couple of runs. He showcased advanced bat-to-ball abilities that allowed him to be dangerous at the bottom of the zone. 

1B Griffin Kelly (Buffalo Grove, 2025)
5-foot-11, 183-pound frame. Kelly was able to pick up a couple of hits Saturday showcasing his ability to drive the ball into the gaps. Kelly showed off great barrel control and was able to get a hold of pitches in every part of the zone. Kelly has a short stride and utilizes his lower half for power.

Extreme Elite

3B Carter Harrington (Collinsville, 2025)
6-foot-1, 165-pound frame. Athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Harrington picked up the game sealing two-run home run Saturday afternoon. Harrington was on the barrel all weekend due to his quick hands and bat speed. Harrington displayed an advanced feel for the zone and the ability to show off his bat-to-ball skills. Defensively, Harrington showed an advanced arm at third where he was throwing rockets across the diamond.

GRB RAYS NORTH YELLOW

RHP Henry Klatt (Green Bay Southwest, 2025)
6-foot-1, 185-pound long-limbed build. Klatt’s delivery is simple, and he works with efficient tempo throughout the windup. A long, ¾ arm accelerates through delivery and is not out-of-control. Fastball was 80-84 mph. Slider kept hitters off-balance at 70-75 mph.

GRB STIKS HYBRID

RHP Owen Dobberstein (Pewaukee, 20225) 
Dobberstein continues to raise his stock as an arm, and performed well on Saturday to earn the win for GRB Stiks Hybrid. Standing at 6-foot-2, 215-pounds, Dobberstein used a three-pitch mix to navigate through the opposing lineup with ease in a run-rule victory. Sat 82-84 mph with the fastball, commanding the pitch while mixing in a sharp slider and fastball-like changeup. The right-hander struck out six in four innings pitched, continuing to raise his stock as a pitching prospect after a successful spring at Pewaukee.

1B Landon Jasper (South St.Paul, 2025)
Jasper showed off his fast hands at the plate by driving a deep fly ball to LF in Saturday's morning contest. Gets the barrel out in front, accelerating the bat through the zone. 

ILLINOIS STOPPERS

RHP Keegan Luxem (John Hersey HS, 2025)
6-foot-5, 215-pound frame with a strong lower half. Ball comes out of the hand clean upon delivery with a longer stride towards the plate. Fastball sat 82-85 mph, T86 mph with natural cut. Curveball was 68-73 mph with quality vertical depth. Slider was sharp and late-breaking at 74-77 mph. 


JBA CLUTCH

3B Brady Lokken (Mosinee, 2025)
6-foot-1, 210-pound frame with an athletic build. Showed hand speed and a strong lower half. Showcased the ability to pull the ball well going 2-for-3 with two hits to left field. Displayed noticeable agility legging out a triple and a double respectively. Stat Line: 2-for-3 2B, 3B.


New Berlin Nationals

2B Braden Unger (Nathan Hale, 2025)
5-foot-10, 165 pound frame. Unger helped lead his team to a win Saturday morning, finishing the game with three hits and a run batted in. Unger showcased advanced bat-to-ball skills that allowed him to spray the ball to all parts of the field. 

OUTLAWS BASEBALL

RHP/2B Gavin Lawrence (Washington, 2025)
A compact, and athletic frame at 5-foot-7, 175 pounds. Clean and effortless delivery with a whippy ¾ arm action. Worked down the mound well, utilizing a three pitch arsenal that consistently were placed around the zone. Maintained velocity on fastball throughout his 5.2 innings of work consistently sitting 85-88 mph. Showed horizontal break on his slider that sat 68-71 mph. His changeup was clocked at 77-78 mph. Stat Line: 5 ⅔ IP, 9 K, 2 R, 6 H, 2 BB, W.


PTA MARCHESE

RHP/SS Sam Hirthe (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2025)
A solid 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Worked down the mound well. Utilized a strong two-seam fastball that had some run. Maintained velocity through seven innings of work sitting 80-82 mph topping 83 mph in the second inning. Had a strong 11/5 curveball that had a sharp drop and was sitting 71-73 mph. Stat Line: W, 7 IP, CG, 10 K, 3 H, 2 BB, R.

OF Carter Hollenback (Eisenhower, 2025)
Displayed a strong bat, being the spark plug behind PTA Marchese’s 2-1 win against Top Tier North Navy. Went 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs and a double. Showcased above-average speed legging out an infield single. Stat Line: 3-for-3 2B, SB, 2 R.


SLAMMERS GREY

RHP Stevan Gavric (Libertyville, 2025)
6-foot-4, 170-pound frame. Athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Gavric was able to hold the opposition to one unearned run in four innings while striking out six. Gavric threw with a ¾ slot with a long, loose, clean arm action with little effort. Has a side-step delivery, high leg lift, tall and fall, lands towards home. Fastball sat low 80s, topping out at 83 mph with arm-side run. Mixed in a high 60s curveball that kept hitters on their toes.


STARS BASEBALL

RHP Taiven Gass (Hortinville, 2025)
A free-moving, compact frame. The body moves in unison upon delivery and is smooth. The ball comes out of the hand with ease with an efficient arm action and long, ¾ slot. Fastball was 79-82 mph with above average carry. Slider had a 10/4 shape and was commanded well. A quality arm to keep an eye on in his junior season.

C Turner Kuhnke (Hortonville, 2025)
6-foot-2, 175-pound frame. Currently ranked No. 40 in Wisconsin’s 2025 class and No. 8 in the catcher rankings. Kuhnke was all over the barrel on Sunday, picking up a couple hits including a double and driving in a run. Kuhnke showed an advanced feel for the zone and the ability to spray the ball to any part of the field.

OF Tommy Pruyn (Lake Park, 2025)
6-foot, 145-pound frame. Athletic build with plenty of room to grow. Pruyn had a loud Sunday morning display, picking up two hits including a triple and driving in four of his team’s six runs. Pruyn has an upright stance with a slight bend in the lower half, utilizes a high leg lift and long stride. Was on the barrel consistently thanks to his barrel control resulting in his ability to drive the ball into the gaps.


TOP TIER NORTH 2025s

C Peter Visconti II (Kenosha St. Joseph, 2025) 
Visconti presents himself at an athletic 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, as he’s currently ranked ninth in the Wisconsin 2025 rankings. The catcher had a quality day at the plate in a run-rule victory, as he doubled down the left field line to drive in multiple runners, establishing himself as a middle-of-the-order bat for Top Tier North throughout the entirety of the weekend. Has a quick barrel and quality feel for the pull-side, as he will represent Team Wisconsin at the 2023 PBR Future Games in just under a week.

RHP Lincoln Causero (Hersey, 2025) 
In a three-inning stint, Causero once again showed well on the mound, a trend from the winter and throughout the early portion of the summer. His fastball reached 87 mph and hovered in the mid-80s, as the right-hander relied on the lively pitch for most of his outing. Causero sprinkled in a slider and changeup as well to keep hitters off balance, allowing zero hits and becoming a part of a combined no-hitter in a 14-0 win. Previously over the summer, Causero hit 88 mph, making him an intriguing follow, as he has already earned an invite to the Illinois State Games in a couple of weeks.

Adolfo Lopez (Maine East, 2025) 
The power comes easy for Lopez, who presents a heavy barrel at the plate during all of his at bats, as he consistently squares up pitches. He nearly hit a home run on Saturday, sending a ball to deep left field to drive in a couple of runners. Standing at 6-foot, 195-pounds, Lopez features present strength within his body, and utilizes his lower half to generate power and elevate the baseball. The right-handed batter continues to rise on the offensive end, coming off a winter where he had exit velocities in the mid-90s.

Julian Ashley-Friedman (Barrington, 2025) 
Standing at an athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame, Ashley-Friedman stayed hot over the weekend, continuing to showcase his pull-side power at the plate. The righty showcased his quick swing in multiple looks this weekend, including on Saturday where he doubled down the left field line to plate two runs. He finished the day with a 2-for-2 line and four RBIs, illustrating his successful weekend, as he wasn’t retired at all on Friday as well. Ashley-Friedman’s consistent performances raised his stock as a prospect this weekend, as he’s currently ranked No. 62 in Illinois 2025 list.

SS Sean Campbell (Riverside Brookfield, 2025)
Listed at a lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 183-pounds. Campbell showed off his smooth glove in Saturday's early morning game. Hands are soft with quality range as well. The arm moves freely and loosley. At the plate, he put together impressive plate appearances against quality arms, including one that resulted in a well-earned base hit.

TOP TIER SOUTH -STANFORD

OF Ian Hazelip (Lincoln-Way West, 2025)
5-foot-10, 170-pound proportionate frame. Athletic presence at the plate with quiet and quick hands. His swing is compact and short, keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. Hazelip stays on plane with the baseball and flashed some bat-speed.

RHP Merek Klicker (Morris, 2025)
6-foot-2, 190-pound with a filled-in frame. Delivery is repeatable with good tempo. Arm is loose and flexible from a long, ¾ slot. Uses an above-average spinning fastball at 2400+ rpm at 81-83 mph. The breaking ball ranges at 62-67 mph and was tough for opposing hitters to pick up.

Dylan King (Oswego, 2025)
Listed at 6-foot, 205-pounds with a muscular frame. King has plenty of bat speed, as he's shown at previous events. He swung an accelerating bat that worked level through contact. King was on the barrel all night, highlighted by his pinch-hit HR over the LF fence. Power comes easy as he drove a single through the 3-4 hole in his next at-bat.

Mateo Tristan (Plainfield North, 2025)
A compact and athletic 5-foot-7, 130-pound frame. Utilized a ¾ arm action and worked down the mound well. Moved the ball around very well, working the corners with a fastball-slider pitch mix. Fastball was heavy, producing weak fly balls. Maintained velocity throughout his start, sitting consistently at 76-78 mph. Had a very sharp slider that buckled multiple hitters throughout the game and sat at 66-69 mph. Final line: 5.1 IP, 2 H, 8 K, 5 BB, 0 R.

SUNDAY

GRB STIKS WHITE

OF Cooper Haas (Waukesha West, 2025) 
Presenting himself at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, Haas began his day with an inside-the-park home run for GRB Stiks White, giving them a quick 2-0 lead. He followed it up then with a triple to right field, utilizing an opposite field approach in both of his at bats. Haas’ speed and production were key at the top of the order for his team, as he showcased whippy hands and a linear swing to produce at a high level. Earlier this summer, Haas reached 82 mph on the mound too, emerging as an interesting two-way prospect to follow for the future. 


IL LIGHTNING

RHP Logan Connolly (Island Lake, 2025)
A solid and athletic frame at 5-foot-8, 150-pounds. Worked down the mound well with a ¾ arm action. Worked the inside corner well to induce a lot of weak contact. Fastball was firm and heavy sitting 79-82 mph throughout most of the game. Had a sharp vertical break on his curveball at 67-69 mph that deceived quite a few hitters. Final line: W, 5 IP, 3 K, 0 R, 4 BB, 3 H.


IMPACT SPORTS ACADEMY BLACK

UTIL Christian Collins (Notre Dame Academy, 2025)
Collins was constantly on base for his team in an 11-2 victory to cap off the tournament, as the left-hander had a single to highlight his day. The to-be junior was smooth on the infield as well, making every play that came to him, after playing in the outfield a couple of weekends prior to this past one. His versatility and strength within a 5-foot-10, 188-pound frame sets himself up well for the future, as he will be an interesting follow as he rises in the 2025 class of Wisconsin.

MN BLIZZARD BLACK

RHP Jack Scanlon (Delano, 2025) 
Scanlon presents himself at a wiry 6-foot-1, 170-pound frame, and performed well during his start on Sunday. The fastball reached 83 mph and earned swings and misses throughout. Scanlon paired that with a slider in which he had confidence in, and threw in any count to his opponents. The right-hander presents a live and whippy arm from the ¾ slot, as he earned the win in a complete game effort, striking out six batters.

RHP Levi Fey (Verona, 2025)
Fey has showed well in front of our staff multiple times this summer, and gave another upside look during his start on Sunday. Clean operation on the mound with a projectable, 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Fastball played 79-82 mph, T83 mph early. Confidently threw a changeup with out-pitch potential and fade at 74 mph to miss barrels. Will be an arm to watch as the velocity continues to develop alongside the off-speed.

C/1B Owen Chael (York, 2025)
An athletic and built frame at 6-foot, 180 pounds. Showcased strong hands, as well as the ability to repeat and  stay through the zone. Showed strong bat to ball skills going 3-for-4 on Sunday. His power was also on display as he hit two balls in gaps for doubles and a single as well. Stat Line: 3-for-4, 2 2B, 2 R, RBI.

TOP TIER NAVY

RHP/SS Nolan Daley (Brother Rice, 2025)
5-foot-9, 145-pound frame. Employs a heavy fastball that sat 75-78 mph and was placed in and around the zone to produce swings and misses. His slider had vertical movement and sat 70-71 mph. Only surrendered one hit and two walks through 4.1  innings of work. Stat Line: 4.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 11 K, 2 BB.

MONDAY

CHICAGO BRUINS

C Caleb Yoon (Fremd, 2025) 
Listed at a lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 150-pounds, Yoon was all over the barrel for the eventual Champions in Chicago Bruins. In their first game of the day, Yoon tallied a 2-for-3 performance with a pair of singles and followed it up with another single in the Title Game. In the right-handed box, Yoon works with rhythm before controllably leg lifting and delivering a smooth bat geared for spray line drives to the entire field. Also, behind the plate, Yoon is a quality receiver that stole a handful of strikes for his pitchers throughout the weekend.

OF Bennett McNeill (Hersey, 2025) 
While the bats were relatively quiet for a large chunk of Monday’s Championship game, McNiell and his Bruins squad came alive in the seventh. In that inning, McNeill got the Bruins on the board with a two-RBI double to left-center field. In the box, McNeill features a simple right-handed swing that flashed some pop throughout the entirety of the weekend, and inside of his lean 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame, there is plenty more upside.

DH/OF Jack Houser (Palatine, 2025)
Houser made for an intriguing look during the Bruins two games on Monday. In the right-handed box, Houser features a quick right-handed bat that drove line drives to all parts of the field during Monday’s action. In the Championship Game, Houser came up big with a RBI single to left-center field, helping Bruins to the title.
