The 6-foot-1, 175-pound, long, athletically-built Edwards is an above-average defender (as he showed at the Illinois State Games) plays with a bounce to his step and takes very confident routes to the ball. The 7.03 runner also showed off a big arm, topping at 92 mph with life. The right-handed hitter has angry intent when attacking the baseball, making hard contact, spraying line drives to all areas of the park. Edwards is a name to know moving forward in the 2024 class.

OF Destin Edwards (Kenwood, 2024) stood out during the game play portion of the event. Edwards plays the outfield with reckless abandon, going all out and making a number of above-average plays in the outfield including a diving catch. Shortly thereafter he went up against the center field wall and almost hauled in what would have been the catch of the event. Edwards was also on the barrel in the second day of the event, finishing 2-for-2 with a stolen base and RBI in the final game. Hard nosed outfielder in the 2024 class.
