An uncommitted arm to know in the 2024 class after this weekend is RHP Cole Noreuil (Delavan, 2024). Standing at 6-foot, 190-pounds and ranked No. 86 in the state, Noreuil dominated on Saturday. He worked with an upper 80’s fastball that sat 87-89 mph, T90 early on, while mainly playing in the mid 80’s later in the game. Noreuil mainly used fastballs throughout his six innings, but would mix in a tight breaking ball in the mid-70s for swings and misses when needed. Noreuil’s final line: 6 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 12 K.

Body: 6-0, 190-pounds. Solid frame
Delivery: Feel delivery - gradually builds pace. Athletic balance point, shorter stride down the slope, lands soft & square. Dynamic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action from an over-the-top slot. Advanced arm strength.
FB: Shows life w/ feel for the zone.
CB: Developing
Uncommitted. Currently slated at No. 97 in Illinois’ class of 2024. Stands at an athletic and strong 6-foot, 190-pounds. Noreuil threw 6 â�� innings, struck out 10, walked three, and allowed no runs or hits - only being taken out due to pitch count. Showed confidence on the mound and worked with a quick and quality pace. Produced weak ground ball contact throughout the game. Mostly threw fastballs with an occasional curveball mixed in. Fastball sat 86-89 mph, topping out at 90 mph with arm-side run. His curveball sat 71-72 mph with 12/6 shape. A quality look at a top uncommitted arm in Illinois’ junior class.
RHP Cole Noreuil (Delavan, 2024) showed off a big bending breaking ball with 11/5 shape. Highly spin efficient, his curveball averaged over 20 inches of vertical action, the best of the day. On top of that, he touched 90 mph with his fastball, ranging from 86-89 mph.

Delivery: Slight drop and drive, high front side, lands square, on-line.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 slot, clean arm.

CB: 71-72 mph. 11/5 shape, well above average depth, big bender. T2205, 2098 average rpm.

A couple of upside 2024 right-handed arms on Team 2 to know moving forward were Cole Noreuil (Delavan) and Ryan Mickenbecker (Plainfield North). Noreuil has an easy delivery, ran his fastball up to 86 mph and struck out two in three innings of work. Mickenbecker has a long-limbed, 6-foot-5, 175-pound frame and comes from a tough over-the-slot angle creating all kinds of angle and tilt to his fastball which sat in the low-80’s (has been up to 87 mph in the past).

Body: 6-0, 187-pounds. Evenly proportioned strength, lean build.
Delivery: Controlled leg-lift into balance point, tall/fall lower-half with a high front side, stride works in-line with the plate, front foot lands closed.
Arm Action: RH. Medium arm circle into a high 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.6, 82-84 mph. Thrown for strikes, life and finish through the zone with arm-side run at times. T2012, 1916 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. 11/5 downer break with depth. T1955, 1932 average rpm.
CH: 78-78 mph. Plays with fading action to the arm-side. T2083, 2023 average rpm.

Body: 6-0, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled leg-lift into balance point, drop/drive lower-half that remains in-line to the plate, front foot lands slightly closed.
Arm Action: RH. High 3/4 slot, clean arm circle out of the glove.
FB: T86.9, 84.1-86.2 mph. Backspin, four seam action. T2180, 2057 average rpm.
CB: 67.4-69.1 mph. Over the top curveball, 12/6 shape. Above average feel. T1938, 1832 average rpm.
SPLT: 74-75 mph. Plays with sink action.
Positional Profile: 3B
Hit: RHH. Wide setup with a toe-tap stride. Hands start low and move into an uphill path, loose arms.
Power: 88.6 max exit velocity, averaged 67.8 mph. 300’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. Long arm out of the glove into a high 3/4 slot, some life out of the hand.
Defense: Quick feet, soft hands, clean exchange, some feel, loose actions.
Run: 7.59 runner in the 60.
RHP Cole Noreuil (Delavan, 2024) showed out in back to back events last weekend, showing similarly well on the mound with an 84-86 mph fastball that topped at 87 mph. His fastball pairs well with a unique splitter that gets downward action and is thrown with aggressive arm speed while reducing spin.

Delivery: Smooth tall and fall delivery. Slight drop and drive lower half down the mound while remaining in line with target. Lands front toe closed.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T86.5, 84.7-86.0 mph. Plays straight. Feel for the bottom of the zone. T2096, 2048 average rpm.
CB: 67.3-69.1 mph. Depth, 11/5 shape. Feel. T1872, 1837 average rpm.
SPLT: 72-74 mph. Tumbling action. Aggressive arm speed.

Delivery: Smooth tempo, drops into back leg, lands square, works efficiently in line to target.
