RHP Eric DeCosta (Wheaton Academy, 2024) keeps impressing with every look. A riser in our recent ranking update, DeCosta is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound premium uncommitted right-handed arm. In the two innings of relief work, DeCosta punched out four batters with a fastball playing up to 91 mph and sat 89-90 mph. A true slider with an average of 2500 rpm played as the main secondary off-speed, throwin with confidence at 80-81 mph.

DeCosta has a 6-foot-4, 215-pound, long, high-waisted frame with plenty of more physical development to tap into down the road and creates leverage and bat strength in his swing. It's a loose swing from both sides of the plate with more jump off the barrel and loud contact coming from the right-side of the plate. The swing stays on-plane working with natural loft throughout and controlled intent. High-follow bat and frame in the 2024 class.
