Few in the state do a better job of filling out a uniform than OF Savion Flowers (Kenwood; Eastern Kentucky), coming in at 6-foot-5, 200-pounds with lean strength and muscle throughout, still holding room for added physicality in the future. He brings one of the more impressive sets of tools to the ProCase, starting with his raw power. The left-handed hitter creates easy juice from his large frame, reaching as high as 99 mph for his max EV with a max distance of 360’. Despite his size, Flowers is still a well above-average runner, cruising to a 6.69 in the 60 with long/athletic strides, helping him cover easy ground in the outfield as well as take extra bases whenever he has the chance. He’s an athletic defender both in the outfield and at first base, and his arm from the outfield (T94 mph) is yet another eye-opening tool he possesses.
1B Savion Flowers (Kenwood, 2024; Eastern Kentucky commit) has been on the rise as of late, and this weekend was yet another quality look. Currently ranked No. 14 in the state, Flowers has some of the highest upside in Illinois. Listed at 6-foot-5, 200-pounds with lean strength and room to add on even more physicality. The left-handed hitter has an effortless stroke, using his levers well to create launch off the barrel with power to all fields. Long/athletic strides around the base-paths allow him to cover ground easily, also quick out of the box. Quality defender at first with soft hands and fluid footwork around the bag.
+ Few players in the state standout in a uniform like OF/1B Savion Flowers (Kenwood, 2024; Eastern Kentucky), who easily came away as one of the bigger winners from the event in the 2024 class. At a chiseled, yet still projectable, 6-foot-5, 200-pounds, Flowers ran a 6.69 60 and reached 20.6 mph of run speed as well. He almost exclusively elevated the baseball in BP (80%) from the left side and hammered his hardest barrel up at 98.3 mph while launching his furthest barrel 360 feet, per TrackMan. Flowers was also up to 90 mph from the outfield, though we’ve seen him touch 94 mph previously, and flashed his natural arm strength in game on a lively throw to third base from right field. His tools, physical stature, and upside should undoubtedly draw professional buzz around Flowers this fall and into the spring season.

OF Savion Flowers (Kenwood) continues to display all kinds of tools and things to dream on, including his 6-foot-5, 200-pound, high-waisted, well-proportioned, eye-catching frame. Flowers displayed the strongest arm in the event from the outfield, reaching up to 94 mph (up two mph since our last look), while playing through the baseball with pace and gaining ground. Offensively, the left-handed hitter looked to be making a conscious effort to stay short and direct to the baseball while controlling the barrel. Flowers creates easy bat speed thanks to his long, athletic levers and loose hands. Flowers was on the barrel to a tune of a 78% hard-hit percentage and he peaked at a 99 mph exit velocity, 90.8 mph average and his furthest ball traveled 328’ while he worked mostly back up the middle and to the pull-side gap. The Eastern Kentucky commit also ran a 7.21 laser-timed 60.

Eastern Kentucky commit, OF Savion Flowers (Kenwood, 2024), passes the eye test with his 6-foot-4, 190-pound, highly-athletic, high-waisted frame and continues to intrigue with every look. The left-handed hitter has a loose, athletic swing and when on time the ball jumps off his barrel. Flowers stays direct and flat through the zone with present bat speed with pull-side power which should continue to develop with added strength. In the outfield, he stands out with a strong arm that plays loose and explodes out of his hand at 92 mph. He is fundamentally sound with clean actions and sure-hands.
Flowers (2-for-3, BB, RBI) has a XL 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame that still has room to fill out. The Eastern Kentucky commit went 2-for-3 in his first game, with two singles, a walk, and an RBI. Has quiet hands and feet in the batters box, brings a calm presence. Barreled two loud foul balls in his performance as well, flashing power from the left side of the plate.
Uncommitted, 6-foot-3, 185-pound, highly-athletic, high-waisted, projectable, left-handed hitting outfielder. Hit in the four-hole and played right field. Put together arguably the most impressive swing of the day, a no-doubt, line-drive, solo home run over the right-field fence. Looks the part in the box, balanced setup with quiet pre-pitch rhythm. Flat path, stays through the zone with leverage to the pull-side at times. Finished 1-for-4 with the solo home run. Ran a 4.47 and 4.51 down the line on groundouts later in the game. High-upside left-handed hitter in the 2024 class.

INF Savion Flowers (Kenwood) is a high-ceiling prospect who continues to ascend every time we get our eyes on him. Considering his long levers, he does a quality job staying short and repeatable to the baseball from the left-handed box. It's an easy, highly-repeatable swing and it was all over the barrel Saturday, driving hard contact to all fields. Flowers' bat looked like, arguably, the most polished left-handed swing in attendance. His arm has also ticked up from 82 mph to 88 since we last saw him in the fall, and he registered a max exit velocity of 97.2 mph, up from 92.4 in the fall. High-ceiling 2024 with a chance to be an impact left-handed bat at the next level.
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 170-pound, high-waisted, highly-athletic build with plenty of room for continued physical development. Has impressed on multiple occasions in the past and continued to do so in this game. Started at third base and hit in the five-hole. Has a chance to be an impact left-handed bat moving forward. Minimal swing-and-miss, above-average bat-to-ball skills, was consistently on-time and worked the whole field. Confident and comfortable look in the box. Loose, athletic hands, stays on top and direct to the baseball. Should continue to gain jump off the barrel as he matures. Versatile prospect that we have seen in the outfield, behind the plate and on the infield in the past. Played a sound third base throughout. Made a tough body control play look easy and handled all the routine plays hit his way. Steady hands, funnels into exchange at times, easy arm that plays long and from a ¾ slot. High-follow 2024 versatile left-handed hitter.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound, athletically-built, high-waisted, left-handed hitter took one of the top rounds of BP on the day. It is an easy, repeatable stroke with athletic hands that work on top of the baseball and land hard contact to all fields.
