INF Jory Crocker (Willowbrook, 2026) has considerable upside on a lanky, long-limbed 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. A 6.88 runner, Crocker controlled his levers more in this look than we’d seen previously, staying inside the baseball more consistently while keeping his barrel through the zone on a flat plane. He’s an apt defender on the dirt too, with long strides, soft hands, and an 85 mph arm across the diamond.

Crocker hopped on the mound on Sunday and did not disappoint. Highly projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 160 lbs with long levers. Athletic movements on the mound and worked down-hill. Pounded the zone with the FB sitting 81-82 mph. Showed good feel for a breaking ball, throwing it in the zone early in the count. Impressed earlier in the tournament with his fluid actions at shortstop and clear athleticism. Smooth, athletic right-handed stroke with feel to hit, swing projects to add much more power as he continues to develop. Two-way player with a high ceiling to watch going forward.

RHP/SS Jory Crocker (Willowbrook, 2026) is a high-waisted 6-foot-1, 160-pound two-way freshman in the state. Offensively, he’s a right-handed hitter who starts from a static position but he’s able to repeat well and generate a loose, quick swing that landed consistent barreled contact during his round of BP. On the mound, he’s similarly raw but intriguing, as he lived inside the strike zone with all three pitches, sitting 80-82 mph. He spotted a breaking ball well, beneath the zone, that flashed sharp action, and his changeup is thrown at arm speed with arm-side fade/run that he also located. Crocker’s physical projection is particularly intriguing, and he’s also a 7.23 runner.

Positional Profile: SS/3B Body: 6-1, 160-pounds. Long, highly-athletic build with plenty of room for continued physical development. Hit: RHH. Tall setup, high leg kick, balanced throughout. FB: T82, 80-82 mph. Heavy fastball that jumps out of his hand, works mostly straight, creates angle. T2061, 2013 average rpm. SL: 67-68 mph. Profiles more like a curve but has downer, sharp action that he located well. T1674, 1531 average rpm. CH: 75-76 mph. Thrown deceptively and at arm speed; locates. Arm-side run/fade. T1488, 1429 average rpm.

Long, lanky high-waisted frame that projects; arms nearly touch his knee caps. Drew the start for Windy City in their first game of the weekend early Friday afternoon. Arm plays with some length on the backside and finishes from a high ¾ slot. Tall/fall type delivery, upright at balance point before engaging downhill, level shoulders to glove tuck, above-average extension at front foot strike and maintains direction to target; repeats. Worked with pace and rhythm throughout his outing. Fastball held 76-78 mph throughout, relied on it heavily and comfortably threw to all areas of the zone while favoring the upper-quadrant with two strikes. Occasionally flipped in a mid-60s breaking ball as a change-of-pace offering, developing feel to spin. Quieted a quality lineup through 6 ⅓ innings, allowing only two hits and punching out 12 while walking one.

Long, lanky levers that project. Held 76-78 mph throughout his outing & attacked hitters. Flipped in a mid-60s CB, too. #PBRatTheRockpic.twitter.com/IBr2n8qDg5
