Arizona commit. Currently ranked No. 39 in the state. Physical, 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame with proportioned strength. Started at shortstop and hit out of the three-hole for the Crusaders. Moves extremely well on the infield for his size, soft glove-to-hand with quality timing through the ball, plays on the move. The right-handed hitter finished the day 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored, displaying quality plate coverage with loose, whippy hands through the zone. Aggressive on the basepaths, took a curveball off the head and stole second first pitch against a premium backstop.
Arizona commit. Triezenberg helped the Crusaders to a 4-1 week, going 11-for-19 at the plate with a home run, triple, four doubles, eight RBIs, six runs scored and two stolen bases. In their 20-0 win over Leo he went a perfect 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored. He had another impressive day in their 5-1 win over Lincoln-Way East, going 3-for-4 with one RBI, and he rounded out his impressive week with a 3-for-5 performance, tallying a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored in their 12-5 win over DePaul College Prep. On the season, Triezenberg is hitting .412 with eight extra base hits, two home runs and 15 RBIs.
INF Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice; Arizona commit) has a strong 6-foot-3, 176-pound frame, and looked to be one of the more impressive defenders on the day. He moves extremely well for his size on the infield, ranging to both sides of his glove with ease, soft hands work out front, clean transfer and glove-to-hand. Quality arm across the diamond with a high ¾ release, topping out at 85 mph. At the plate, the right-handed hitter displayed a balanced swing with an approach that looked to stay up the middle while working on-plane, creating above-average bat-speed with an average of 72.3 mph (T78.9 mph), as well as rotational acceleration with an average of 18.7 G’s (T22.5 G’s); maxing out at 94.5 mph for his EV.
Verbally committed to University of Arizona.
INF Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice, 2025) seemingly had a calm, collected presence to him throughout the Future Games. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound infielder continued to show well with his glove, taking a crisp and clean round of infield defense on the workout day, and flashing advanced actions throughout the week. Innate feel for the game, plays with advanced body control and an internal clock on the infield and makes throwing from all platforms look easy. Smooth double play transition and highly-accurate arm. Offensively, was consistently on-time and talking quality at-bats throughout the week. Minimal chase and looking to attack fastballs. Singled twice, drew a walk, plated a run, and scored twice.
MIF Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice, 2025) is another smooth middle infielder who continued to do what we have become accustomed to seeing defensively. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound, broad-shouldered right-handed hitter took one of the easier, polished rounds of defense on the day. Triezenberg never gets sped up and played with all kinds of body control and ease while showcasing confident, soft hands and the ability to throw accurately from multiple platforms while topping at 84 mph across. Triezenberg has also cut down his 60-time considerably over the last few years, now running a 7.05 while working to both gaps in BP, registering a 93.4 mph max exit velocity and a furthest batted ball of 347’.

6-foot-3, 190-pound athletic, well-proportioned frame. One of the top prospects in the Illinois’ 2025 class, currently slotted at No. 18 overall. Body moves in a controlled and coordinated manner. Defense figures to be the carrying tool, presently advanced on the infield with fluid all-around actions for age. Will stick on the dirt at the next level. Tall open start at the plate, bat tips as lead leg lifts at load, long barrel through the zone. A name-to-know 2025 prospect in the state’s soon-to-be junior class.
Uncommitted and currently ranked No. 18 in the Illinois’ 2025 class. 6-foot-3, 190-pound, wide-shouldered build with developing strength. Started at shortstop and hit in the five-hole. Natural infield defender with athletic actions and overall polish to his game. Slows the game down, never seems in a hurry, comfortable on the move, quality glove presentation and hands play soft and out in front. Clean release, internal clock and accurate arm. Offensively, right-handed hitter, calm and relaxed look in the box. Looks to use the big part of the field, works to keep his hands inside the baseball with natural loft through the zone. Finished 1-for-2 with a sac bunt (4.36 down the line) and scored a run. On the rise, uncommitted sophomore with plenty more ceiling to tap into down the road.
A quartet of infielders who stood out, especially defensively were Aaden Guerrero (Lyons Township), Gavin Triezenberg (Brother Rice), Andrew Kouris (Nazareth Academy) and Francisco Rodriguez (De La Salle).
Triezenberg continues to add strength to his 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame to go along with smooth infield actions and ascending arm strength, now topping at 85 mph, which is up from 77 mph in 2022. Profiling at the corner-infield,
