Heartland commit, currently ranked No. 116 in the state. Listed at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds, athletic build with some strength throughout. The right-hander threw it well over 3.1 innings, allowing two hits, one earned run and striking out three against no walks. The right-hander works into a slightly up-tempo leg-lift, high balance point, tall/fall operation down the mound that works in-line. His arm plays with a short circle out of the glove, transitioning into a ¾ release. He creates natural sinking action on his fastball, playing mostly 85-86 mph and grabbing 87 mph once in the first inning. To pair off the fastball he went to a 10/4 slider at 79-81 mph, working shorter at times and also showing the ability to get more depth on it.

Verbally committed to Heartland CC.

RHP Casey Giemzik (Brother Rice, 2024) was one of the top RHPs at February's Preseason All-State showcase, and has continued to cement himself as a top uncommitted pitcher in the state. Giemzik stands at a well-proportioned 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame with strength throughout. The soon-to-be senior showed a repeatable delivery highlighted by a quick arm. Giemzik sat in the mid-80s throughout, touching 87.1 mph with plenty of carry (2525 RPM). Off his fastball, Giemzik used a mid-to-upper 70s slider as a secondary pitch that spun well (2634 RPM) with short movement.

Body: 6-3, 220-pounds.
Delivery: Simple, repeatable, high leg lift, drop/drive delivery, foot lands slightly closed at footstrike. Allowed one run in three innings of work and struck out three.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm circle, 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 85-87 mph. Heavy amount of spin, overpowering, likes to utilize it at the top of the zone but will place it on the lower outside, cuts. T2525, 2374 average rpm.
SL: 76-79 mph. Out-pitch that can overwhelm hitters as a secondary with plenty of depth. T2634, 2579 average rpm.
CH: 77-79 mph. Quality fade to the armside, feel for pitch. T1621, 1521 average rpm.

RHP Casey Giemzik (Brother Rice, 2024) also touched 90 mph with a sturdy 6-foot-3 220-pound frame. His fastball plays down and heavy at the bottom with a sinking change (78-79 mph) and sweeping curveball (73-75 mph).

5-foot-9, 135-pound, athletically-built, right handed hitting first baseman. Offensively, tall balanced setup, smooth quiet  load, short stride, engaged lower half. Quick hands through the zone. Uphill finish with extension through the ball, consistent hard contact, while maintaining fluid rhythm throughout. Exit velocity of 68 mph off the tee. Ran the home to first in 5.64. Defensively, played through the baseball and throws topped at 61 mph across the infield.
